    Job Description

    • Providing strategy and analysis for entry into new markets, as well as to further market share and growth in existing markets, in close collaboration with the business units.
    • Investigating business opportunities with significant scale and synergies to drive growth and leverage the current portfolio of products in target markets and applications.
    • Developing and commercialising existing and new platform opportunities to support market growth.
    • Generate market intelligence for relevant industry segments in alignment with the organisation's Africa strategy.
    • Accumulating industry knowledge, insights and contacts.
    • Maintain subject matter expertise in selected areas, staying abreast of developments and best practices (both internal and external to the organisation).
    • Support lobbying work in the industry and in selected associations and foster suitable partnerships.
    • Lead project teams to meet business objectives.

    Expectations

    • The ideal candidate should possess a relevant University qualification in a Technical or Scientific field (Oil refining & Petrochemical preferred). A Post Graduate qualification in Business Management would be a distinct advantage.
    • Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in development and utilisation within Oil & Gas industry value chains including petrochemical refineries, and be able to demonstrate high flexibility in complex market environments
    • High levels of business savvy, as well as strong negotiation skills, would be added advantage.
    • Able to think independently and work with no supervision.
    • Able to travel 50% +/- domestically & international trips annually.

    Road Safety Coordinator

    Job Description

    • The Road Safety Coordinator will assist the Logistics Manager in the management of Road Safety issues in the Plant operations and distribution activities to achieve an effective and sustainable safety culture and performance in the Company Logistics.
    • The performance in this role will help achieve the required compliance level to the Transport advisories requirements.

    Key Job Responsibilities

    • Assist the Logistics Manager in the implementation of the five (5) pillars for road safety management in the whole distribution chain
    • Organize monthly safety meetings with RT contractors and drivers on safety performance and advisories compliance issues
    • Conduct Toolbox talks or ensure they are communicated to all staff and contractors’ drivers. Discuss all learning from BU and Group incidents with contractors/drivers and follow up on remedial actions
    • Be the custodian of the Hazard register of the road transport operations and Monitor implementation of the remedial actions from the Transport safety cases
    • Conduct quarterly audit of Road Transport contractors
    • Champion the Road Safety related Near Misses reporting and follow up program and compile the Road safety performance (Safety KPIs) of the BU
    • Other related duties as may be assigned by the Logistics Manager, BU Safety Manager or incidental to the above

    Expectations

    • First Degree in Engineering.
    • Health & Safety management with no less than 4years experience.
    • Good supervisory and people management skills.
    • Computer literacy in general and in particular familiarity with MS Office particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential
    • Good communication skills.
