    Job description
    Subject Matter Expert on competitive DB technologies and IBM product technologies. Trusted technical advisor to IBM sales team and customers for competitive Data Base migrations. Solid understanding of the competitive landscape and capabilities of competing products. Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse sales and technical sales teams across IBM. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with senior management and technical staff at client site and IBM. Excellent customer-facing skills, including the ability to create and present IBM technical value proposition to sales team and customer. Technical sales and/or services experience is highly desirable with solid understanding of sales cycle. Ideal candidate will have project experience with multiple software architectures and development environments Strong technical background. Minimum of 5 years technical experience with DB technologies and solution architectures. In-depth knowledge of database technologies, Linux, Windows and UNIX systems and performance. Ideal candidate will have deep knowledge and experience of either DB2 or Oracle databases, working as a DBA-Data Base Analyst or experienced application developer. DB2 or Oracle certifications desirable. Must have ability to estimate, plan and execute database migration projects Have a detailed understanding of various environments and technologies including n-tier application architectures, application servers, message queuing, replication etc. Proficient in database application development using PL/SQL, SQL Coding, embedded SQL

    Migration Specialist


    Job description
    The Migration Specialist will assist clients in leveraging IBM DB2 technology, through technical workshops, proofs-of-concept, solution architecture/validations, advice on best practices, conversion assistance, conversion assessments/estimates, performance benchmarks/reviews and onsite services engagements. Individual must have strong client-facing expertise and possess deep technical hands-on skills and experience with at least one of the following database technologies: DB2, Oracle, Sybase or Microsoft SQL Server. Should have DB2 and Oracle certifications. Must understand client needs and create, implement and execute upon a conversion/migration plan to address them. It is essential to have excellent communication and presentation skills given customer facing nature of job. Must be able to harvest best practices by documenting methods and techniques used to assist clients, and sharing gained knowledge with their team. Lab Services/Global Business Services experience is highly desirable. Ideal candidate will have project experience with multiple software architectures and development environments Understanding of DB application development process and technologies – including PL/SQL, Java, C++, PHP At least 2 years experience in Relational Database installation, usage, and management working as a DBA-Database Administration or database application developer.

    Country Service Manager


    Job description
    This role is the primary contact between the DPE(Delivery Project Executive) and delivery support organization. They are an integral part of the account planning and delivery support strategy. They support the DPE and/or PE(Project Executive) as the service delivery advocate. They proactively monitor the problem and change process and manage problem and change issues and alerts as needed. They work with the customer (project office) to understand issues and requirements and responds to requests for new services (RFS's) to help grow the business. They help to ensure quality of service and manage cost of delivery by looking at better ways to provide service in a cost efficient manner. They lead and direct the delivery team with direction from the DPE/PE and may be assigned to one or more accounts depending on their size and complexity. They monitor and manage Service Level performance on assigned account(s) and reports attainment and potential exposures in a timely manner. Responsibilities include:- Provide DPE/PE single point of contact and be the advocate between Service Delivery and the DPE/PE/Customer- Manage cost including annual interlock plan negotiations between service delivery and the DPE/PE- Ensure positive customer satisfaction and customer relationship is maintained- Manage delivering to contract performance standards and client measurements- Drive/Manage service quality and improvement of service delivery processes- Participate in the cost/recovery management with the DPE/PE- Continually identify ways to reduce cost delivering the services and improve service- Deliver on service commitments- As directed by the DPE/PE, drive/manage subcontractors/third party providers- Participate in Technical proposal preparation and submit to DPE/PE for review and approval- Participate in account plan/strategy- Understand customer requirements and business opportunity/requirements identification, guidance, support and closure- Provide technical support and participate in the Change Control Board and/or change control process- Provide account leadership/direction and technical support- Participate in response to RFS's on behalf of the delivery organization- Drive/participate and coordinate audit readiness and compliance for delivery- Drive/participate and coordinate crisis management

    • High School Diploma/GED

    Establish an organisation that is managed and controlled by IBM

    Introduce and enforce IBM delivery mode of operation into the local team
    Be primary local contact for employees and the wider IBM
