    Essentials Duties and Responsibilities of the Operations Manager

    • Provide overall leadership in ensuring facility works at optimal conditions
    •  Lead the development and review of marketing strategies to ensure facility in optimal use always
    • Ensure efficiency, neatness and promptness of staff at work including proper dressing
    • Maintain high level of respect, cordial and professional behaviour before and towards students among staff at all times
    • Ensure all operational services are running smoothly including water, electricity and security at all times
    • Facilitate timely repairs of any damage and ensure common areas are secured from damages when student vacate premises
    • Ensure records are kept up to date including log books, expenses records etc, bookings
    • Ensure coordination and management of staff
    • Ensure the observance of high ethical standards in all operational functions
    • Provide support to any other duties as assigned by line manager or the representative of management

    Education & Experience

    • Must posses about 5 years experience managing apartments, or student accommodation or other similar facilities
    •  Must hold a bachelors degree in relevant discipline or HND or its equivalent
    • Must posses management capacity and
    • Must posses experience in managing staff of different levels positively
    • Must have clear knowledge of the element of hospitality and operations.
    • Must be proficient in the use of computer (MS Office-Word and Excel) and able to keep and monitor all forms of records

    Required Attributes

    • Appearance must be smart and clean
    • Ability to communicate politely and listen well in English
    • Goal driven andgood customer relation ability
    • Good sight with the ability to stand/walk
    • Ability to maintain regular, and punctual attendance and promptness
    • Good ability to manage pressure and deliver results within deadline
    • Positive attitude for service provision with good problem solving and analytical skills
    • A good finisher with the ability to work independently without supervision
    • A good team player with good leadership capability
    • High level of patience with good understanding
