Content Creators at Jumia Nigeria

Objective

• As Content Creator, your responsibility is to create customer facing content including educational material, training manuals as well as content marketing material in the long run, with the aim of establishing and growing the brand.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop content descriptions for products
• Ensure consistent style and tone throughout all product descriptions
• Ensure the youthful and fresh voice of Jumia is carried throughout
• Ensure information about products is correctly and meticulously stated
• Ensure other requirements as needed by the Marketing department e.g. Public Relations writing, blog writing etc. are met by delivering customer satisfaction

Competencies Required

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power point) tools
• Working knowledge of Google Office Productivity Tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
• Excellent analytical, numerical and problem solving skills required;
• Ability to deal with ambiguous problems and build solutions with proper project management
• Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Ability to work to deadlines and targets, can prioritize tasks under pressure
• Demonstrated ability to define and successfully deliver complex projects with superior ROI
• Technical acumen is necessary
• Must be competent in data capturing
• Ability to maintain accuracy despite repetitive nature of work

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Mass Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or equivalent from a recognized and accredited University
• 3 - 4 years’ experience in content creation for high traffic website
• Alternatively, 1-3 years editorial experience in a fast paced Media Agency
• Good knowledge of the Online Marketplace and the Ecommerce Industry
