    Job Summary:

    The Hotel General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running and management of the hotel as well as its staff. He/she oversees all aspects of the hotel operations including guest services, food & beverage, housekeeping operations, revenue generation, and maintenance/property management.

    Responsibilities

    To be selected for this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

    • Creates an operating environment that assures consistent guest satisfaction.
    • Coordinates the execution of activities via instructions to Heads of Departments/ Assistant Managers, supervisors etc.
    • Maintains Hotel product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating complaints
    • Monitors the performance of the hotel through verification and analysis of guest satisfaction systems and financial reports
    • Ensures good safety practices of employees and guests, assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures.
    • Executes marketing, sales, and operational activities, producing results that meet or exceed the hotel’s business plan.
    • Monitor revenue and income expenditures
    • Providing timely real-time feedback to management, and hourly associates on service and operational standards
    • Ensure that all departments are at optimum performance to guarantee that the Hotel is run smoothly

    Desired Competencies & Experience:

    To be selected for this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

    • At least 3 years’ experience within the hotel industry in Hotel Management.
    • B.Sc. degree in Business Administration, MBA would be an added advantage
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule and adjust working hours as necessary.
    • Must be an energetic leader with an entrepreneurial spirit
    • Highly motivated, with demonstrated leadership & influencing skill
    • Problem solving skills with strong organizational, planning & management skills
    • Excellent communication 
    • Must be computer literate.
