Senior Sales Officers / Sales Officers
The successful candidates will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, growing our sales volume and providing an efficient sales service to our customers. They will also:
• provide market data and information in order to ensure that we can respond appropriately to developments in the marketplace
• ensure the achievement of set targets and other related objectives
• identify factors that facilitate purchase decisions and proactively turn them into an advantage for the company
• identify and develop customers with high volume capacity provide after-sales support to customers
The ideal candidates will be between 26-34 years of age and possess a good university degree or its equivalent in Social Science, Humanities or the Sciences, plus a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in an FMCG company.
The successful candidates will have a minimum of 6 years milling experience and should, ideally, not be more than 38 years old. Candidates should possess a good University degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Agriculture or the Physical/Biological Sciences. Full membership of the City & Guilds in Milling Technology, or a Milling Diploma of the Swiss Milling School will be an added advantage.
Applicants must have a disciplined but flexible approach to work and possess an ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. The responsibilities of this position include managing a production shift, ensuring low down-time in milling operations, consistent production of good quality products, supervision of mill maintenance and ensuring that a clean work environment is maintained at all times.
The ideal candidates will not be more than 28 years of age and will possess a Bachelors degree, at least Second Class Upper Division, or its equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Food Science and Technology, Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering. Ideally, candidates should have a minimum of 1-2 years working experience in a manufacturing organization.
Successful candidates will undergo Intensive local and overseas training in milling operations and qualify as professional millers at the end of their training. During the training period of about 3 years, they should be able to progressively take responsibility for various sections of the milling operation, from screen room to product bins and packaging, including heading a shift in the absence of the Shift Miller.
