The Web Application Developer will design, implement, maintain, and support a portfolio of web applications including internal business applications. This role requires 3+ years’ experience in requirements gathering and analysis, beta testing, monitoring, and metrics development and reporting.

The ideal candidate will be well versed in enterprise software design principles and front-end web design/User interface.

The ideal candidate will be willing to take ownership of, and seek opportunities to improve the company’s web application portfolio, and identify opportunities for business process improvements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and maintain modern application UI/UX
• Design, develop and maintain enterprise web applications and back-end databases
• Collaborate with internal customers to translate requirements/specifications to support enterprise web applications and troubleshoot issues
• Develop test plans, execute / automate unit and functional tests, and remedy defects
• Conduct code review presentations.
• Create and maintain application documentation
• Write and maintain user documentation.
• Ensure application security standards are met
• Participate and contribute in process improvement activities
• Administer CMS systems
• Administer the Intranets, public web sites, and other sites for James Cubitt Companies.
• Maintain web service/APIs technical infrastructure.
• Conduct meetings / presentations aimed at all levels of technical expertise

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or any related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in web application development

SKILLS

• Attention to details
• Strong communication abilities to interact with colleagues and clients
• 3 years building enterprise scale MVC PHP5 applications
• knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
• knowledge of MS Azure platform applications
• knowledge of Zend Framework and SOA design patterns
• knowledge of OOP programming techniques and familiarity with industry trends
• Knowledge of V&V concepts
• Knowledge of secure programming principles
• Experience using and building REST and RPC services
• Experience using jQuery Mobile/UI, Bootstrap, Angular, other JS/CSS libraries highly preferred
• Experience in using frameworks or PHP CMS platform strongly preferred

JOB SUMMARY

The job holder will be responsible for the security, management, maintenance and smooth running of James Cubitt companies’ websites.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drawing up detailed website specifications;
• Designing sample page layouts including text size and colors
• Maintain all websites delegated by James Cubitt Companies
• Ensure that the sites along with the pages attached to them are in working order
• Review each site and mark out the changes required in it
• Check the level of security in each site and update it
• Make sure that the sites are secured and the user data they may incorporate is also safeguarded
• Ensure that the sites are user friendly and easy to navigate, as these factors affect the performance
• Possess knowledge about the client requirements and analyze the websites accordingly to bring suitable changes in them
• Check the originality of the websites and ensure that the content is not duplicated on other platforms
• Execute a regular follow up and assessment of the performance of the sites
• Analyze the site layouts and structures, HTML coding, navigation systems, etc., for optimizing the content with a view to receive top search engine rankings and enhance the visibility of the websites
• Plan future modifications for the sites and keep abreast with new technologies and software to develop the online presence and success of the sites
• Manage domains and hosting plans for James Cubitt Companies

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or any related field.
• Proven knowledge about Javascript, HTML, HTTP, CSS, and XML, including internet related software
• Technical knowledge about the latest developments and internet features
• Ability to manage different projects in a fast-paced environment
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience web design.

SKILLS

• Excellent eye for design and intimate understanding of design elements
• Proficiency in Adobe Dreamweaver and other web design programs
• Ability to write in a variety of computer languages, such as HTML or Java
