    Operations & Maintenance Supervisor, Hybrid

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Over all in charge of hybrid sites for system functioning and fuel saving.
    • Supervises the deployment of new installation, swaps, upgrades etc… for hybrid sites as per client’s demand.
    • Supervises and monitors all sources of powers including commercial power, DG power and DC power supplied by batteries and rectifiers on hybrid sites.
    • Keeps record of health of battery banks and its backup time of each hybrid site.
    • Liaison with field teams for early fault rectifications.

    Operations & Maintenance Supervisor, NOC

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Ensures that escalations are closed within client’s specifications or SLA.
    • Creates network performance reports and analysis e.g daily, weekly, monthly and share with client or internally.
    • Suggests improvements areas based on that report and shares with the O&M Manager and the O&M Supervisors.
    • Analyzes team & regional performance based on emergencies and reports to the O&M Supervisors and the O&M Manager.
    • Follows up on emergencies on the network and escalates them based on site importance (e.g. hub sites, backbones and collocated sites etc) as per escalation matrix, until resolution.

    • Leads the planning and implementation of his/her assigned project(s). Plans and schedules the project(s)’ timelines.
    • Defines and manages the project’s tasks and resources (human, vehicles, tools, equipment…), and assigns responsibilities.
    • Supervises all works related to his/her assigned project(s), and ensures they are executed in accordance with the Client’s specifications.
    • Identifies project bottlenecks, problems, set-backs… and implements solutions.
    • Constantly monitors the project(s)’ progress, and reports it to the Country Head and the Group ND head using the firms' forms and procedures
    • Reports regularly the project’s progress to the Client (weekly meetings, status reports...).
    • Manages the project’s budget and all its related payments.
    • Builds and maintains a solid relationship with the Client and their representatives.
    • Identifies potential projects for his Client, and shares them with the Country Head and the Group ND Head.
    • Selects and assigns qualified sub-contractors, and manages them
    • Directs and manages his/her assigned team(s), and provides the needed support.
    • Coaches and develops his/her assigned team.
    • Explains and trains Projects Manager, Project Supervisors and Projects Coordinator on the firms' formats, and ensures the implementation and flow of these reports
    • Undertakes periodic unscheduled visits to his/her assigned sites to verify the site progress and provide necessary inputs when needed

    OH&S/QMS Role and Responsibilities

    • Monitors and ensures that all QMS/OH&S procedures and policies are being adhered to by the Projects Manager and Projects Supervisors
    • Deals directly with client representative on all OH&S matters when required.
    • Monitors all QMS/OH&S audit reports of projects.
    • Coordinates efforts with all sections of the company (Procurement & Logistics, HR & Administration and Accounts) as per the firms' internal procedures
    • Ensures that all projects activities adhere to all OH&S and QMS standards
    • Follow up the Investigations of accidents, incidents, and hazards and follow up the implementation of the necessary corrective and preventive actions to mitigate incidents, accidents and hazards.
    • Ensures that proper trainings are provided to enhance the OHSAS knowledge and competence.
    • Conducts regular site inspections when needed.
    • Ensure that hazard controls (PPE, engineering controls, policies, and procedures) are monitored.

    Qualification Requirements

    • 6-9 years experience in similar field.

    Education Requirements:

    • B.Sc. in Civil/Electrical/Telecom Engineering
    • Certificate in Project Management

    Operations and Maintenance Field Technician (Electro-Mechanical) - (Quality)

    Roles and Responsibilities
    Responsible for the completion of service requests (preventive or corrective or emergency ) on all electrical, mechanical or other assets assigned to him according to scope of work, typical as the following but not limited to:

    • Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR), Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), In-Country Power Supply Transformers & LV Lines, Earthing System, Battery Backup System, Power Distribution Box, fuses, breakers, surge arresters, remote management systems etc.
    • Servicing, decommissioning, installation, or integration of generators according to standard procedures and practices.
    • Electrical, mechanical and civil components of the site, including lighting system & commercial power.
    • Managing Site security and site access (where applicable).
    • Ensuring that preventive or corrective maintenance is performed according to procedures and checklists agreed and all issues are permanently closed.
    • Proper cleaning and janitorial services of the sites and assets.
    • Decommissioning, installation and troubleshooting any fault in electrical or mechanical equipment.
    • Any other work assigned to from time to time according to scope of work.
    • Scheduling and executing the preventive / routine maintenance jobs on all equipment under his/her assignment.
    • Be available for emergency calls all time, Attends emergency call outs, fixes the problem on equipment and restores the service within SLA, follows up the issues till permanent closure. Helps to find root cause of problems and appropriate solutions.
    • Coordinates between NOC, immediate supervisor, IENG sections, client and other subcontractors, for proper maintenance of own sites / electrical equipment.
    • Proficiently uses test equipment and devices on sites and analyzes test results.
    • Records and reports all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, regularly to the O&M Coordinator using the firm's reporting formats.
    • Ensures proper care of all company properties such as tools & equipment, vehicle, mobile DG, accommodation.
    • Reports all incidents e.g. theft and litigation issues as per process and supports the O&M Coordinator, Site Security (where applicable).
    • Be responsible for fuel delivery and consumption and supports the O&M Coordinator, Fuel for fuel management (where applicable).
    • Ensures that all works being executed under his/her supervision conform the Client’s specifications and the approved drawings.
    • Ensures that all tools and equipment are in accordance with the engineering standards and specifications.
    • Ensures that all spares or consumables used during maintenance are of good quality and standard and be responsible for reconciliation as per process.
    • Understands all processes, works accordingly and gives feedback for improvement.
    • Keeps record of inventory, problem history for all equipment under his/her control.
    • Being team leader, coaches and enables other team members, check standard of work executed and be responsible for scope of whole team work.

    OH&S/QMS Role and Responsibilities:

    • Ensures the implementation of OH&S/QMS requirements on all assigned cell sites.
    • Fills all related OH&S/QMS documents on sites.
    • Conducts site safety induction by explaining to subcontractors their responsibilities in terms of OH&S requirements of the firm and clients.
    • Ensures that adequate PPE is used by both the firms' and Subcontractor team.
    • Ensures that safe work procedures are being adhered to.
    • Investigates and fills the incident investigation report and shares it with the OH&S representative.
    • Ensures emergency drills are conducted on sites.
    • Deals directly with the client’s representative on all OH&S matters on sites.
    • Reports on any hazard, incident, and accident to the direct supervisor of all assigned sites.

    Qualification

    • More than 1 year experience in similar field.
    • Must be a team player, flexible, defendable and punctual.
    • Proven ability to multi-task.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Higher National Diploma in Electrical/Telecom Engineering.
