    Project Director

    Job Description
    The successful candidate will undertake the coordination and management of long-term development plans with respect to the buildings, infrastructure and facilities of the school. He/ She will oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific projects and ensuring that specified deliverables and objectives are achieved.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Oversee a team of project managers and project teams
    • Provide advice on the management of projects
    • Conduct risk assessment
    • Ensure quality standards are met
    • Recruiting specialists and sub-contractors and monitoring them to ensure guidelines are maintained
    • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with the Projects Committee and executive management
    • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
    • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment etc.) required to complete the project
    • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
    • Review the project schedule with Projects Committee , executive management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
    • Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
    • Oversee the execution of the project according to the project plan
    • Submit progress reports on the project to the Projects Committee and executive management
    • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
    • Liaise with all Departments/Committees of on matters relating to projects

    Requirements:

    • B.Sc Civil Engineering or any other related field, minimum of second class upper
    • MBA is an added advantage
    • 10 year project management experience
    • Project management certification
    • Organizational skills and Analytical skills
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills
    • Team building and communication skills
    • Management and leadership skills

    Public Relations Officer

    Job Description
    PR officer will use all forms of media and communication to build, maintain and manage the reputation of the school. These range from public bodies or services, to businesses and voluntary organisation.

    Key Responsibilities include:

    • Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies
    • Liaising with colleagues and key spokespeople
    • Liaising with and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations, often via telephone and email
    • Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media
    • Collating and analyzing media coverage
    • Writing and editing in-house magazines, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports for the school
    • Preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programmes
    • Devising and coordinating photo opportunities
    • Organizing events including press conferences, exhibitions, open days and press tours
    • Maintaining and updating information on the school's website
    • Managing and updating information and engaging with users on social media sites such as twitter and Facebook
    • Sourcing and managing speaking and sponsorship opportunities
    • Commissioning market research
    • Fostering community relations through events such as open days and through involvement in community initiatives
    • Managing the PR aspect of a potential crisis situation.

    Requirements:

    • A focused and goal oriented self-starter
    • Personable and possess excellent people relations/ management
    • A degree in any subject is acceptable, although English, management, business or media studies, marketing or behavioral sciences may be preferred.
    • 4-7 year relevant work experience
    • A PR postgraduate qualification can also be an added advantage.
    • Work experience gained within the PR, Marketing, Events Promotion, or Journalism
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills
    • Drive, competence, flexibility and a willingness to learn

    Chief Financial Officer

    Job Description
    The Chief Financial Officer will be a key member of the Executive Management team. He/ She will report to the Managing Director and assume overall financial management of the school. The CFO will have primary strategic responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company which includes accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, property management, negotiations, and partnership compliance.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
    • Provide the school with a budget, trends and forecasts to determine and adapt financial strategy
    • Oversee the development of financial models to guide capital investment activities
    • Oversee purchasing and payroll
    • Monitor banking activities of the organization
    • Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the school's operations
    • Oversee the production of monthly reports including reconciliations as well as financial statements and cash flow projections for use by Executive management and the Board
    • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
    • Train the Finance Unit and other staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters

    Requirements:

    • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
    • BSc in Accounting or related field
    • A chartered accountant
    • Very strong teambuilding and people management skills with experience managing senior level staff
    • Minimum of 15 year experience is required
    • Previous experience as head of a Finance function is desired
    • Knowledge of school operations

    Managing Director

    Job Description
    The Managing Director will have overall responsibility for the school and will report to and be a member of the Board. The ideal candidate will be a leader able to steer the team to achieve the school’s vision, mission and objectives. He/she will formulate and execute winning strategies.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute the school’s strategies in order to attain the goals of the Board and other stakeholders
    • Provide strategic advice to the Board and Chairman
    • Drive development activities of the school
    • Drive the school’s culture of excellence
    • Prepare and implement comprehensive plans to facilitate achievement of objectives by planning cost-effective operations
    • Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times
    • Communicate and maintain trust relationships with stakeholders, partners and regulatory authorities
    • Oversee the school’s financial performance, investments and other ventures
    • Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
    • Act as the public speaker and public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen its profile
    • The successful candidate will be a member of the Board

    Requirements:

    • High level of integrity
    • BSc, BA, Bed and an MBA or MEd
    • Very strong teambuilding and people management skills with experience managing senior level staff
    • Minimum of 15 year experience is required
    • Experience working in a school setting is desired
