We seek qualified candidates for the position of Director, Monitoring and Evaluation in Abuja, Nigeria
     

    DIRECTOR, MONITORING AND EVALUATION (Abuja, Nigeria, Req. 10: 1567)  

    The Director, Monitoring and Evaluation (DME) is in charge of all monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities for FHI's program portfolio in Nigeria. 
     
    Key Responsibilities 

    •             Provide technical leadership in M&E systems design and implementation, and be responsible for the overall management of the M&E Department 
    •             Lead and provide technical inputs to improve and facilitate the delivery of sound technical assistance in M&E 
    •             Develop and implement appropriate guidelines to support USAIOI Nigeria, Government of Nigeria (GoN) counterparts and USAID's implementing partners in conducting M&E and reporting results 
    •             Contribute to national data collection and information systems 
    •             Ensure data quality, ( provide technical support to GoN's surveillance and public health evaluation efforts, and upon request collaborate closely with other major multilateral and bilateral partners to participate in the implementation and improvement of the national M&E effort in Nigeria 
    •             Provide overall management and make technical inputs to improve and facilitate the delivery of sound technical assistance and data quality in M&E. 
     
     
    Position Requirements 

    Master's degree in social sciences, demography, economics or other relevant field with a minimum of 9-11 years experience in monitoring and evaluation in large HIV/AIDS programs at national or international level 
    •             Sound knowledge of statistics and public health 
    •             Experience in working with local partners, including host governments, NGOs and CBOs 
    •             Knowledge of the Nigerian local context is an asset, as well as familiarity with USAID and PEPFAR programs 


    DIRECTOR, FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION 
    (Abuja, Nigeria, Req. ID: 1572)  

    The Director, Finance and Administration performs at a leadership level responsible for direction of functions of accounting and finance, contracts and grants, and human resources management for a large country office. 
     
    Key Responsibilities 

    •             Develop, manage, implement and evaluate appropriate systems, projects, services, staff, and budgets to support over 500 employees, 11 zonal offices and 300 sub-agreements with implementing agencies 
    •             Develop and evaluate goals and/or objectives as they relate to the organization's strategic plan and priorities 
    •             Lead and/or participate in assessments, designs, teams, capacity building and program reviews 
    •             Contribute to resource development efforts. including participation in proposal development related to the development of cost proposals 
    •             Ensure quality of operational support to FHI projects and programs according to FHI standards 
    •             Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the supervisor 
     
    Position Requirements 

    •             Ability to oversee multiple functions, including finance, contracts, grants, budgeting, and human resources for a large, dispersed, complex, multi-donor program 
    •             Working knowledge of US Government and other donor regulations will be an advantage 
    •             Some experience with non-profit management and overseeing the use of donated funds 
    •             Excellent management, supervision, networking, and leadership skills 
    •             Ability to set realistic priorities and plan for the successful implementation of programs 
    •             Sensitivity to cultural differences, and understanding of the political and ethical issues surrounding public health issues 
    •             Excellent verbal and written communication and computer skills 
    •             BS/BA in business administration or related field, and 11-13 years relevant work experience in international development organizations with 5-7 years supervisory experience 
    •             Or MS/MA in business administration or related field, and 9-11 years relevant work experience in international development organizations, with 5-7 years supervisory experience 
    •             Or PhD in business administration or related field, and 7-9 years relevant work experience in international development organizations, with 5-7 years supervisory experience 
    •             Overseas field experience
