DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E) Officer will support the development of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) framework and be responsible for coordinating a tracking mechanism to track the Foundations program implementation and results on a regular basis. Furthermore, he/she will ensure that the monitoring and tracking forms and surveys are integrated within the Foundations database. The role will allow the M&E officer to monitor the bridge project, SOS Careers program, and SOS Headstart programs. The M&E Officer has to develop the information secured from the data collection process and analyse and present this data in graphical and written documents. The M&E officer will also be in charge of developing relevant presentations to showcase to stakeholders. The M&E also needs to rrack document regularly to ensure that no deadlines are missed and trainers are notified immediately to facilitate the process of getting the required data from the students, parents/guardians, the board and the partner schools.
In terms of immediate need, the role will require the M & E officer focusing on the bridge and headstart programs. This will include the M & E officer making frequent visits to the partner schools currently Government Secondary Schools Garki, Jabi, Dutse and Wuse Zone 3 to collect the following data and ensure they are updated according to the schedule:
Mentoring Progress Reports at the end of each skills workshop to assess the interim quality of the mentoring process
Development and Operational Effectiveness:
Ability to lead strategic planning, results-based management and reporting; Ability to lead implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development programmes and projects; Ability to lead implementation of new systems (business side), and affect staff behavioural/ attitudinal change; Excellent conceptual and analytical abilities and an analytic approach to information management.
