    Head, Internal Audit - Abuja

    This is a senior management position (Assistant/Deputy Director), reporting to the Board through the Managing Director. The successful candidate will provide independent and objective assurance, evaluation, analyses and appraisals designed to add value and improve the organisation’s operations and effectiveness of governance and risk management processes, and internal controls environment.

    S/He will direct the planning and execution of operational, financial and compliance audits to evaluate the effectiveness of the organisation’s internal control systems including field operations. Will determine compliance with selected policies, procedures, and regulations. Will make written recommendations to the Board and senior management for control enhancement and to increase efficiency and/or effectiveness of the control systems of functions reviewed. Will perform special investigations asrequested by the Board or management.

    Qualifications/Experience: The desired candidate:

    • Must possess a first degree in Accounts or Financial Management and a relevant Masters’ degree with a recognised professional accounting qualification – ACA or ACCA or other professional body.
    • Previous experience in a donor funded environment with a good knowledge of international donor rules & regulations and must possess a minimum of twelve (12) years post NYSC experience, the last five (5) of which should have been as the Head of an audit team. 
    • Must show demonstrable experience managing the preparation of audit planning memoranda, including identifying and evaluating key risks, setting audit scope, and determining budgets and staff assignments.
    • Must have expert knowledge of risk management and assessment, fraud investigation and detection criteria and strategies as well as auditing standards, techniques, activities, and processes.
    • Must have good experience with drafting audit reports including writing clear and concise findings and recommendations and be able to properly assess potential findings for significance and negotiating their finalization with senior client management.
    • Must be an analytic and decisive decision maker with strong organizational and planning skills, attention to detail and follow through.
    • Must be able to multitask and manage audits within agreed budgets and time lines with a very good knowledge of the current financial and corporate governance regulatory environments.
    • Must have very strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including a high level of tact and diplomacy, a collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality
    • Must have demonstrated proficiency using intermediate level office software applications, including spreadsheets and relevant accounting software.

    Assistant Director Accounts (GFM & GFH - based in Abuja)

    This is a Senior Management position; the successful candidate will be a key staff in managing the accounts of the two GlobalFund projects. Reports to the Director – Accounts & Finance with a dotted line relationship to Directors– Global Fund Malaria and Global Fund HIV. S/He will manage and supervise the GF Malaria & HIV Project Accountants, provide finance schedules to Auditors, produce monthly and other periodic financial and management accounts, and produce donor budget monitoring reports. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of progress updates and disbursement requests for GF projects. 

    S/He will review all GF postings in SAP on a monthly basis, review sub-recipients financials and PUDR and resolve all issues arising, and will ensure prompt disbursement of funds to SRs. S/He will assist in conducting capacity building for Sub-Recipients on financial management and reporting. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparation of project burn rate analysis, enhanced financial reporting and will also prepare the Dashboard for submission to the Country Coordinating Mechanism. S/He will provide schedules to the Local Fund Agent as well as GF audits, will ensure clean audit reports, and assist in budget monitoring and continuous cash flow analysis for the projects.

    Deputy Project Director (based in Abuja)

    This is a Senior Manager position. Reporting to the Project Director, Maternal and Neonatal Health (MNH) Care Project. The successful candidate will provide support to the project director on strategic and operational leadership to MNHC strategies at the national level and in two (2) project states. S/He will provide technical leadership to a team of state project managers and project staff working in the two states on theories, strategies and approaches to achieving scaled up, evidence informed MNHC actions as outlined in national protocols and guidelines. The post holder will be part of MNHC leadership team in SFH and is expected toprovide significant support to the project director.  The successful candidate must be comfortable working at the highest level with state, local government and other implementing partners. Will support joint reviews of select indicators to measure progress and providing technical support to the development of a range of intervention communication channels. In addition, s/he will build the capacity of project staff and health facility staff using evidence informed MNH interventions.

    Qualifications/Experience: The desired candidate: 

    • Must possess a first degree in the Social/ Biological/Health or Medical Sciences as well as a relevant second degree.  
    • Must have at least eight (8) years progressive experience in the public health or social development sector preferable in the areas of skills and knowledge transfer both at individual and organisational levels.
    • Must have at least eight (8) years demonstrable experience in designing, testing, refining and implementing community interventions in maternal and neonatal health care. 
    • Must have proven experience working in similar organisation with in-depth understanding of project management tools such as logical framework, performance management system and indicators.
    • Must have in-depth experience in developing, requesting and using technical assistance and other capacity building tools to catalyse problem solving within an institutional setting.

    Franchising Manager (African Health Markets for Equity - Project) AHME

    This is a management position and for a technical specialist based in Abuja and reporting to the Project Director. S/He will be responsible for providing technical assistance and strategic direction on franchising issues and ensure that the SFH social franchise brand is promoted and repositioned to provide quality services to our target populations.     Quality Control Manager - Lagos

    This is an Assistant Manager position reporting to the Assistant Director Lagos Field Operations. The successful candidate will ensure that packaging materials received are in line with approved organisational standard. S/He will also verify and proof-read every IEC material to ensure they maintain approved message, quality, colour and texture. In addition, the successful candidate will maintain a library of SFH Artwork & materials and will regularly liaise with National Condom Quality Lab to ensure that right sampling techniques are applied in pulling samples of condoms for testing and follow-up on same.     Manager, Information Technology - Abuja

    The successful candidate will be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for the installation and administration of SFH network components, detection and timely resolution of any hardware and LAN failure/errors, monitoring system performance usage and supervising the entire SFH IT infrastructure towards improving the response time to all IT issues in SFH pan-Nigeria. S/He will compile monthly progress reports, make recommendations on installation of new applications and maintain all IT equipment and networks within SFH.  In addition, will assess hardware and software training needs of SFH staff, develop training programmes and produce training manuals on communication issues, deliver and monitor training outcomes.

    Deputy Manager SAP Support - Abuja

    This is a deputy manager position reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. The successful candidate will plan and oversee change management and training activities for staff on SAP related issues. Develop knowledge transfer plans and measurable matrix. Will generate monthly status reports on SAP support activities and issue resolution. S/He will develop detailed review reference/criteria of the SAP's Vendor's deliverables.     Deputy Manager, Field Financials Reporting

    This is a Deputy Manager position reporting to the AD Finance. The successful candidate will be responsible in collating monthly reports from the territories and conclude all journal entries as at when due and also ensure that the field float is reimbursed within 48hours of requests. S/He will perform a periodic visit to the territories to monitor performance of field Finance & Admin staff and also resolve all outstanding issues.     Assistant Manager, Accounts -Abuja

    The Assistant Manager - Accountant will be based in Abuja. The successful candidate is required to manage all financial and accounting issues of the AHME project, including budget tracking and appropriate posting of all project activities, developing financial reports for entire project. S/he will be responsible for financial control issues and also coordinate with auditors during annual audit reviews to ensure that project is on course financially. The accountant will assist with the management of project finances and budgeting of most activities as well as ensuring that appropriate financial management is taking place at HQ and field level.     Deputy Manager, Internal Control Unit -based in Abuja

    Reporting to the Director, Finance and Accounts, the successful candidate will manage, coordinate, monitor and enhance SFH's audit review processes and systems to ensure that timely and adequate audit coverage is maintained and appropriate policies and procedures are maintained to ensure the integrity and transparency of the conduct of audit and reporting. The candidate will ensure compliance with statutory and other obligations, remittances; PYE, Withholding Tax, Staff Pension, NHF, Mortgages, staff cooperative and severance. S/He will prepare audit implementation status checklist and follow up with staff responsible to ensure timely completion of audit resolutions and assist the Divisional Head in collating reports for the board finance committee meeting. Finally, s/he will produce quarterly review reports of SFH vouchers (Archived copies) and report on missing or un-scanned vouchers.

    Deputy Manager, Monitoring (AHME) (Abuja)

    This is a Deputy Manager position. Reporting to the Franchise Manager, the successful candidate will act as the monitoring and evaluation specialist of the project and will be based in Abuja. The successful candidate will manage the implementation of a variety of surveys and research studies and the MIS system of the project.  S/He will act as a supervisor, coach, mentor and provide technical support to the providers in the network clinics, pharmacies and PPMVs to ensure that quality data are captured and reported to the Head office in a timely manner. A key aspect of this role will be the preparation of analytical reports, human interest stories and case studies for the project.   S/He  will support  evidence informed programming, and will oversee and coordinate data collection for impact evaluation and operations research at field level.

    • Must possess a first degree in a relevant field. A higher degree in Public Health or related fields and certificates in relevant M&E courses will be of an added advantage.
    • Must possess a minimum of six(6) years post NYSC work experience, preferably in M&E.

    Deputy Manager, Affordable Medicine Facility for Malaria (AMFM - Abuja

     

    The successful candidate will report to the Director GF Malaria. S/He will coordinate all programmatic activities and provide guidance to implementing parties on issues such as validation of the first line buyers, monitoring all AMFm programme implementation processes, proposing regulatory changes where required for AMFm, and will be responsible for general communication on the AMFm (e.g. launch timing, sources of ACTs, pricing, any relevant policy/ regulatory changes). Will participate in the advocacy of AMFm at both national and international levels. Successful candidate will represent SFH and provide appropriate feedback as a member of the AMFm secretariat and the task force.     Senior Officer, Finance and Admin (5 positions, each based in Bauchi, Enugu, Ogun and Rivers)

    This position, reports to the Territorial Manager in the location, with a dotted line relationship to the Deputy Manager - Territorial Finance based in Abuja. The successful candidates will be primarily responsible for the proper application of SFH and donor policies in the handling of finances of all projects in the respective territorial offices. S/He will ensure the efficient management of finances, and ensure that adequate records are kept safely and in easily retrievable manner. 

    S/He will be responsible for sending financial reports to headquarters; will assist in the drawing up of territorial budgets, monitoring and the recording of variances. In addition, he/she will reconcile all territorial staff accounts and produce an ageing report and will also analyse staff advances retirements to ensure correct approvals and support documents comply with SFH policies. S/He will also manage administration and logistics activities in their respective territorial offices.

    Senior Officer, Internal Control Unit - (2 positions to be based in Abuja)

    This is a Senior Officer position reporting to the Deputy Manager Internal Control Unit. The successful candidate(s) will conduct audit of GF sub-recipients/sub-contractors’ financial reports, assessment of internal control systems, verification of assets, and ensuring compliance with donor and recipient contract terms and donor rules and regulations.  S/He will review transactions of the SFH head and field offices operations to ensure compliance with policies and procedures as per SFH and GF financial reporting, procurement, warehousing & inventory, and other regulations.  S/He will conduct investigation or forensic audit if fraudulent activities are suspected.  Will participate in physical inventory counts of commodities, fixed assets, bank cheques and other accountable forms.  The successful candidate(s) will review  tax computations and other statutory requirement (e.g. PAYE, Pension, NHF, etc) to ensure compliance, and will conduct audits of cash funds at the head and field offices.
