  • An International school located in Victoria Island is seeking to recruit competent, committed and self motivated personnel to fill up the position below:

    Key Stage Head

     

    Job Description

    • This is a senior post within the schools structure.
    • The post holder is accountable to the Head of School.
    • The following is not exhaustive and the Key Stage Leader will be required to carry out such duties as may be reasonably directed by the Head of School.
    • It may be modified by the Head of School to reflect or anticipate changes in the job, commensurate with salary and job title.

    The Key Stage Head will be expected to:

    • Ensure that the children in the key Stage have access to an appropriate curriculum which wit ensure that all aspects of their development are being addressed
    • Build a cohesive team who work closely to provide children with continuity p1 learning
    • Liaise with the Head of Nursery and other Key Stage heads to ensure (hat tire transition period is as smooth as possible and to ensure curriculum continuity and progression
    • Work alongside the Head of School and other heads of departments to promote a positive ethos in the school
    • Work within the leadership team to set targets and raise standards across the key stage
    • Keep abreast of local and international initiatives and ensure this knowledge is disseminated to colleagues
    • Play a significant role in the Leadership Team, ensuring that key professional development needs are addressed through coaching and mentoring
    • Monitor the quality of teaching and learning and share judgements with teachers and support staff

    Qualification and Experience

    • Have a B.Ed or B.A/ B.Sc with a P.GCE
    • Minimum of 6 years Post qualification experience
    • Have a successful record of teaching in the Primary and/or the Foundation Stage of an international school
    • Evidence of experience of taking a leadership role in the school

    Skills:

    • Ability to develop and maintain good personal relationships with pupils, staff parents/corers, Governors and the wider community
    • Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities
    • Ability to work effectively with staff in the monitoring of learning and teaching
    • Ability to work with, lead and motivate individuals and teams of staff
    • Ability to communicate effectively
    • Ability to raise achievement by use of assessment data analysis and target setting
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet professional deadlines
    • Ability to manage and resolve conflict
    • Ability to use ICT for school management development
    • Ability to demonstrate outstanding classroom practice.

    Class Teacher (Primary/Nursery)

     

    Job Description

    • To create and manage a caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating environment which is conducive to children’s learning
    • To plan and prepare lessons in order to deliver the National Curriculum ensuring breadth and balance in all subjects.
    • To identify clear teaching objectives and learning outcomes, with appropriate challenge and high expectations.
    • To maintain good order and discipline among the pupils, safeguarding their health and safety
    • To organise and manage groups or individual pupils ensuring differentiation of learning needs, reflecting all abilities,
    • To maintain a regular system of monitoring, assessment, record-keeping arid reporting of children’s progress.
    • Complete diaries, log book and anecdotal recordings.
    • Log in homework books
    • To ensure that school policies are reflected in daily practice.
    • To communicate and consult with parents over all aspects of their children’s education - academic, social and emotional.

    Qualification and Experience

    • Have a B.ED or B.A/B.Sc with a P.GCE, Montessori Dip
    • Minimum of 4 years Post qualification experience

    • Ability to prioritize and management time effectively.

    Maintenance Officer

     

    Job Description

    • Ensuring all school buildings and grounds are cleaned t agreed standards and specifications
    • Ensuring the maintenance of all school buildings, grounds and utilities and ensuring that any repairs are properly are promptly carried Out
    • Keeping all grounds and buildings secure.
    • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.

    Qualification and Experience

    • Have a minimum of OND
    • Minimum of 2 years Post qualification experience

    • To support pupils learning activities, attend to additional learning needs and help in development.
    • To help with the care, health, well being and support of pupils
    • To maintain good order and discipline among the pupils, safeguarding their health and safety.
    • To organise and manage groups or individual pupils ensuring differentiation of learning needs, reflecting all abilities.
    • Contribute to the management of pupils behavior both in and eat of the classroom.
    • Support the use of ICT

    • To assist in carrying out schemes of work and programmes set by teaching staff.
    • Assist in the maintenance of the environment for staff and pupils.
    • To assist in the presentation of displays.
