About the Job

• Prepares monitors and expedites structural fabrication, assembly and completion activities carried out by Contractor or subcontractors related to his discipline until sail away for pressure vessels and FPSO integration in Nigeria.
• Assists the structural superintendent his duties covering all construction phases, including construction methods, yards pre-fabrications, construction, structural assembly and completion as related to his discipline. He attends meetings as required by his hierarchy. He implements his hierarchy instructions and organizes his inspection team accordingly.
• Ensure that all construction activities related to his discipline are performed safely and efficiently in line with company objectives.
• Review procedures and site queries in due time related to structural at site.
• Monitor structural preparations for installation of equipment and/or structural assembly part including removal and re-instatement of deck/module.
• Ensure contractor to follow and comply with requirement of Company specification GS STR.
• Reviews structural material certificates arrived at workshop together with QA/QC superintendent.
• Monitor QC activities within his discipline.
• Establish a smooth and efficient working relationship with CONTRACTOR.
• To maintain good relationships with contractors, being relatively flexible, proactive but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the project.
• To ensure that safety remains the main priority on the construction site at all times.
• Attend the toolbox meetings.
• He participates in the preparation of As Built documentation.

Requirements

• Professional experience (number of years): 8 years of relevant construction experience in Oil and Gas production projects
• Familiar with oil and gas construction and QC procedures is a plus.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Open to Nigerians only.

About the Job

• Oversees all geosciences activities related to exploration and prospect generation.
• Guides field development studies, reservoir management strategies and optimization of surface and subsurface operations.
• Coordinates interaction between exploration teams and field development teams.
• Directs the preparation of long-term development plans for company reservoirs through full field development studies, which include estimating oil and gas reserves and predicting reservoir behaviour, in order to recommend economically viable alternatives for production or injection well locations as part of an optimized development scheme.
• Actively seeks improved geoscience and reservoir engineering technologies.
• Directs and participates in the preparing of a variety of periodic reports such as field status reports, production and allocation reports, tests reports, well reports, etc.
• Sets up exploration (both conventional and unconventional) activities. Coordinates data gathering program and establishes databank.  
• Evaluates engineering technology used in reservoir engineering activities and geological studies, and manages related contracts.
• Revaluates cost parameters for services, equipment, material and intellectual property acquired.
• Drive data acquisition programs, provide quality control on acquired data and their interpretation, and incorporate assessment into appraisal campaigns.
• Manages and directs the activities of assigned personnel in the Exploration Department.
• Performs supervisory duties and exercises financial authority at the level established by management for the position.
• Manages integrated data interpretation and evaluation to generate prospects and leads and keeps an updated risked and ranked prospects portfolio.
• Manages and supervises exploration activities in company operated and non-operated areas in a timely and cost effective manner.
• Manages and Plans for geological and geophysical analysis for support of the exploration in the granted concession areas to probe the availability of oil Manages and ensures the availability of technology, resources and specialized applications required for various technical studies and scientific analysis.
• Manages the data analysis, collation and storage of physical field samples that pertain to the scientific evaluation of the exploration areas.
• Ensures the availability of conceptual designing and geodetic support.

Requirements

• Seasoned geologist and team leader with at least 20 years of experience.
• In depth development experience is desirable involving full range of activities from exploration to field development planning with majority of this experience obtained from development teams.
• Strong geological skills proven in various stratigraphic and depositional settings.
• Sound understanding of Petroleum Engineering disciplines (i.e. Petrophysics, Reservoir Engineering and Production Technology).
• Able to manage subsurface uncertainties, work in an integrated and dynamic multi-disciplinary team.
• Working knowledge of static reservoir modeling. This encompasses both structural and stratigraphic modeling, and working with other disciplines to calibrate and update static-dynamic representations.

• Implementation of the strategy in terms of technology, schedule, and target cost, engineering, procurement, subcontracting, construction and pre-commissioning / commissioning and start-up assistance.
• Control of all factors, which affect the quality, the schedule and the project cost.
• Preparation of the project objectives, policies and strategies, the coordination procedure among Company and the project operation centers.
• Issuing the monthly progress reports to Company regarding the current project status,
• Provision of the necessary office accommodation and working atmosphere to Client’s representative.
• Monitoring the project execution in the shortest possible time and at reasonable cost while maintaining the quality required by the Contract.
• Issuing of the 90 days front end project schedule.
• Clear definition of the extent and the nature of the services, which are required by the Contract.
• Establishment of the budget, project schedule, job specifications, and coordination procedures to be applied to the project.
• Coordination and supervision of all contacts with suppliers, subcontractors, inspection agencies, insurance companies, local authorities.
• Commercial, legal, financial, and administrative skills are essential

Requirements

• Project director with more than 20 years of relevant working experience in oil, gas, and petrochemical industry.
• B.Sc in Engineering or equivalent.
• Main Experience in Refinery projects.
• Have been on at least one full scale EPC project from detailed engineering to close out as a Project Manager or Project Director.
• Previous experience as Project Manager in a Petrochemical or Refinery plant, Project valued up to 14 billion USD. This experience should be from the Proposal Phase or at least the Design Phase till the Construction and Commissioning Phases.

Job Description

• To follow-up the Construction and associated pre-commissioning activities related to Nigerian Content (NC) packages, up to end of Construction and load-out/integration works.
• Ensure that fabrication is in accordance with the design.
• To ensure that all construction activities related to his discipline are performed safely and efficiently in linewith company objectives.
• To oversee the activities of all site teams within his discipline to ensure that all technical, contractual andcost information is properly recorded, collated and available for inspection/reference as required.
• To identify deficiencies and develop solutions to identified construction problems.
• Monitor QC activities within his discipline
• To manage construction interfaces with others (engineering, other sub-projects, commissioning) arbitrating between different disciplines, the only criterion being the overall good of the project.
• To maintain good relationships with contractors, being relatively flexible, proactive but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the project.
• To ensure that safety remains the main priority on the construction site at all times.
• Attend the toolbox meetings.
• To ensure that the construction yards are provided with suitable information in line with requirements(technical & schedule), troubleshooting any technical problems that could affect construction/ fabrication.
• To identify critical activities and potential bottlenecks for the progress of the works.
• To inform periodically to Construction Yard Representative about the progress activities and area ofconcern.
• To prepare or help to prepare reports for company, partners, and authorities as required.
