    General Manager

    Reporting Relationship As Needed:

    Purpose of Job Role (why does this role exist?):

    • To provide marketing leadership to the Jotna Group through the development of marketing strategies and activity programmes which achieve short-term and long-term business and brands portfolio goals and targets, build and maintain the long-term equity of the brands in the portfolio and optimize the return on marketing investment.

    Key Responsibilities
    Areas (KRA) of this role that will help deliver the purpose of this role (not more than 7-8):

    • Determine Portfolio segmentation and differentiation strategy, including insight based identification of portfolio opportunities and initiatives. Communicate the strategy across the business and work in collaboration with clients to drives its implementation. Define the portfolio targets and leads the CBTI team and third party agencies in developing marketing activity strategies to achieve these targets. Evaluate and report portfolio strategy and recommend revision where relevant.
    • Oversee the annual development of integrated marketing plans for all brands in the portfolio and for all Group Operating Companies such as PCL, JOTNA etc to deliver business goals and brand targets and covering all areas of the marketing mix as appropriate. Ensure that these plans are effectively executed by operating company Marketing Execution teams ( or in absence, the CBTI team to organize internally), on budget and on time and that all major activities are evaluated, with learning recorded for future brand planning.
    • Lead the transition from ( Phase 1 to phase 2 to phase 3)- To develop CB Total Impact Limited as a fully independent profit driven marketing and advertising organization, providing support and marketing services to the JOTNA Group of companies in the short to medium term ( 5 years) thereafter focusing on supplying services to companies or Brands outside the JOTNA organization - to follow journey plan with Taylor Harte consultants as approved by the Board.
    • "New Products development- To lead the TLCC management team in the development and launch of new products and idea creation that will sustain and profitably grow the company portfolio of beverages over the long term and to ensure the best in class processes are implemented to develop and lunch these new products. The process will also include the constant review and improvement of the current portfolio of products."
    • Allocation of marketing budgets and optimization of marketing contribution across the brands portfolio.
    • New Products development- To lead the TLCC management team in the development and launch of new products and idea creation that will sustain and profitably grow the company portfolio of beverages over the long term and to ensure the best in class processes are implemented to develop and lunch these new products. The process will also include the constant review and improvement of tht current portfolio of products.
    • Allocation of marketing budgets and optimisation of marketing contribution across the brands portfolio.
    • Work with heads of operating companies to determine and recommend the optimum pricing strategy for each brand.
    • Determine targets and success measures for all areas of all areas of the marketing mix and monitor and report on performance. Ensure that all marketing activity is accurately tracked and evaluated.
    • Oversee the deployment and tracking of the portfolio marketing budget to ensure its proper utilization against agreed progammes and activities.
    • Analyze and monitor the return on marketing investment, including quantitative and qualitative factors such as expenditure per case and customer feedback on implemented activities.
    • Ensure that all members of the CBTI Brand team and the Marketing Execution teams understand the importance of budget monitoring and activity evaluation and provide relevant information for budget and investment reports.
    • Act as Chair of the NPD Steering Committee; ensure that new product development/ innovation projects are on schedule and provided to the NPD Projects Manager and project teams as required.
    • Lead the competitor intelligence process and monitor developments and trends in the operating environment. Formulate counter-competition plans when required to protect the position of Company brands.
    • Work with the Jotna and Legal teams and the CBTI Brand team to ensure that regulatory approvals are secured as required for such items as brand creative materials, new brand names, new product formulations and packing designs.
    • Build and maintain a network of media contacts (broadcast, print,etc.) to develop and sustain the Company's profile as a customer-focused and value-added beverage company. Work with PR Agency and Corporate Affairs Spokesman to ensure that corporate PR programmes are aligned with brand PR programmes.
    • Lead,guide and develop the CBTI team with example-led diligence, positive encourage and fair and respectful correction when required, to secure a high- performance team who all strive to achieve their personal KPIs. Manage succession planning within the CBTI Team by developing an internal reservoir of talent from which to draw on for future recruitment occasions.
    • Pro-actively manage and positively encourage the professional development of all members of the CBTI Team to ensure the retention of a highly-motivated and results-driven department. Identity training needs and provide coaching to develop the team's capabilities. Carry out staff appraisals in line with Company policies and processes.

    Brand Manager

    Purpose of Job Role (why does this role exist?):

    • To support the Brand Group Manager in the development, monitoring and evaluation of activity programmes for the brand/brands trademark which deliver annual brand targets( such as volume, market share, brand awareness, brand imagery), on budget and on time, and sustain brand equity.

    Key Responsibilities Areas (KRA) of this role that will help deliver the purpose of this role (not more than 7-8):

    • Assist the Brand Group Manager CBTI in developing annual activity plans for the brand which maintain the brand as the front-runner in its category and deliver the annual brand targets. Lead the planning process for all brand activity programmes, liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure that planning timelines are adhered to.
    • "Work closely with the brand Executive Manager, and third-party agencies and suppliers to ensure that approved brand activities are executed on time and on budget. Monitor activity execution through the CBTI Marketing Execution teams and recommends corrective action if/when required ensure that the appropriate information is captured for activity evaluations, with learning record for future brand planning".
    • Track brand marketing expenditure against agreed activities, including actual marketing expenditure per case vs. Target expenditure, and provide regular reports to the brand Group Manager CBTI. Ensure accurate and well- presented cost summaries are provided for all activities, including quotations invoicing and final actual budgets reconciliations.
    • Assist the Brand Group Manager CBTI in determining brand targets which contribute to the delivery of overall portfolio goals and in determining marketing strategy for the La casera brand which achieves the brand targets.
    • Maintain the marketing calendar for brand, providing timely reports to all relevant stakeholders so that all timelines are adhered to.
    • Develop highly valuable working relations with third-party agencies and suppliers in order to ensure premium service-level from them.
    • Assist the Brand Group Manager CBTI in the performance management of third-party agencies and suppliers by contributing to regular performance reviews and highlighting issues to be addressed as these arise. Continually innovative ideas at the highest service level and optimum pricing.
    • Secure regulatory approvals are required for brand activities and creative materials.
    • Be the “Steward” of the brand, protecting the company’s investment in the brands’ equity by tenaciously adhering to Brand Standards ensuring all colleagues, agencies and suppliers are aware of and adhere to the Brands Standards.
    • Ensure that the Brand Standards Manual is kept up to date.
    • Assist the Research Manager CBTI in identifying research needs for the brand/brands.
    • Monitor key competitor brands and their activities through data, research and regular market visits. Provide regular competitor activity reports and assist the Brand Group Manager CBTI in developing response(s) to protect the position of the La casera brand.
    • Maintain a Library of brand plans and evaluations to support a strong knowledge database in line with Company policies and processes.
    • Ensure all materials and artworks created for the La casera brand by third-party agencies and suppliers are supplied in both digital and hard copy formats and are passed to the PA to GM for addition to Artwork Library.
    • Work closely with the Research Manager CBTI to monitor brand health and performance, tracking agreed attributes and metrics.
    • Ensure regular brand health reports are provided to the Brand Group Manager CBTI and the GM CBTI.

    Chief Accountant

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Chief Accountant is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting.
    • The position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
    • The position addresses tight deadlines and multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
    • He will also be required to be in contact with senior-level Attorneys and senior management executives which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.

    Other Functions and Responsibilities
    Finance and Accounting:

    • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and accounting procedures in the organisation.
    • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closing activities.
    • Ensure timely reporting of all time bound financial information.
    • Assist in daily banking requirements, as required.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all financial transactions.
    • Ensure that monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Supports budget and forecasting activities.

    Departmental & General:

    • Collaborates with the other finance department managers to support overall departmental goals and objectives.
    • Monitor and analyze departmental work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
    • Advise the staff regarding handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
    • Respond to inquiries from other stake holders regarding financial results and special reporting requests etc.
    • Work with FC to ensure a clean and timely year end audit.
    • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
