    Locomotive Modernization Program Manager

    Role Summary/Purpose:    

    The Locomotive Modernization Program Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and work with the regional Services, Commercial, Product Management and Engineering teams to execute Locomotive Modernization deals across the Africa region. You will be accountable to drive outcomes as well as manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise and be involved in long-term planning.

    Essential Responsibilities:    

    • Lead in region execution of Locomotive Modernization programs from planning through final commissioning of locomotives.
    • Provide program leadership necessary to integrate the engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, servicing, revenue sharing partners, and assembly groups to assure product quality, delivery, and cost results achieve business and customer expectations.
    • Actively drive the programs to achieve financial and execution targets.
    • Develop / enhance Locomotive remanufacturing processes to gain operational efficiency.
    • Provide interface between customer and GE Engineering, Product management, Supply Chain and Parts Program Management teams.
    • Provide leadership and supervision to assigned regional Field Services Team.
    • Develop in region 3rd party Integrator capabilities; manage assigned vendor/integrator contracts and relationships.
    • Work with in region Repair and Return vendors to drive execution on Remanufacture scope of work.
    • Participate in the development and lead the execution of the Services regional Mod strategy.
    • Provide the operational leadership needed to drive contract execution and profitable service growth.
    • Responsible for overall business management duties and development of assigned Field Service team.
    • Provide accurate and timely information to assigned personnel regarding salary planning, performance appraisals, career coaching and disciplinary action as required.
    • Lead efforts to ensure customer service excellence for assigned customer.

    Qualifications/Requirements:    

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
    • At least 5 additional years experience in a manufacturing, services, or sourcing position
    • At least 2 years of experience in customer interface and negotiations
    • Ability to travel regionally up to 50% of the time
    • Strong oral and written communication skills

    Services Leader - Developing Markets

    Role Summary/Purpose

    • The Services Leader - Developing Markets will be responsible for the development, growth and execution of new Locomotive and Services contracts in the Africa region (Angola, Namibia, Nigeria, Kenya, Tunisia, Guinea, and other African countries). Additionally you will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Developing markets where GET has sold new locomotives (Namibia, Angola, Kenya, Guinea, others) and has Services execution (Warranty, FMI, Technical support, LTPA) responsibilities.
    • Develop Services structure/strategy for African markets where GET has sold new Locomotives.
    • Hire and develop staff (TA/LTA/Material Managers) to support new markets growth.
    • Drive Customer engagement in new Markets to execute Services offerings (Tech Support, Warranty Support, Service Agreement, Loco Upgrades, etc).
    • Lead new Market Services team until market warrants in country Sr. Services Leader.
    • Work with GET Commercial/Services leadership team to grow Services business. Develop customer relationships, support negotiations, contribute overall development of Service/Locomotive offerings.
    • Responsible for building strong long-term relationships with customers in region.
    • Work closely with region Services & Commercial Executives to achieve services orders and sales plan for region.
    • Provide the operational leadership needed to drive contract execution and profitable service growth
    • Provide accurate and timely information to assigned personnel regarding salary planning, performance appraisals, career coaching and disciplinary action as required.
    • Engage service engineering to accomplish effective support of customer service objectives
    • Implement operation safety policy instructions, conduct field work in compliance with local HSE/EHS and applicable regulations and encourage good employee safety practices.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
    • At least 5 additional years of experience in Field Services or Commercial role
    • At least 3 years of experience in a management role
    • Ability to travel regionally and internationally
    • Strong oral and written communication skills

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physical science or Business discipline is preferred
    • Strong business acumen, commercial savvy and customer service mindset
    • Ability to manage effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
