    Finance Assistants

    General Position Summary

    • The finance assistant  under the direction of the Senior Finance Officer in Gombe awill assist in the processing and recording of payment transactions in timely and accurate manner.
    • This position requires extensive travel to the field locations in Northeast states.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Prepare checks or wire transfer requests based on fully approved documents and present to approved check-signers for review and signature.
    • Prepare bank payment vouchers and ensure that all bank transactions are properly and fully documented.
    • Record payment vouchers daily in the appropriate batch in Navigator, ensuring information in Navigator is as accurate as possible, including dimensions and expense details.

    Field Assistants

    General Position Summary

    • The project assistant will assist the program teams in the day to day implementation of all program activities in the areas of intervention.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Assist program officers to ensure program progress according to the developed schedule and work plan.
    • Assist in the coordination in target geographical areas.
    • Support in the process of beneficiary registration, community mobilization and sensitization.
    • Assist in promoting community participation and inclusion so as to encourage community ownership over activities implemented.

    Hygiene and Sanitation Officers

    General Position Summary

    • The Hygiene and Sanitation Officer is responsible for both the soft and hardware components of the water and sanitation infrastructure activities of the ECHO program in targeted implementation area.
    • The Hygiene and Sanitation officer will assist in supervision of the all works related to implementing infrastructure improvement; and provide input on monitoring and evaluation of the project.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Under the guidance of Watsan advisor, provide input into design and conduct water and sanitation infrastructure improvement in targeted areas.
    • Supervise the planning and performance of monitoring of water and sanitation projects.
    • Ensure and promote appropriate health messages related to water, sanitation and hygiene behaviors in targeted communities
    • Promote community involvement and ownership in all water and sanitation activities and infrastructure projects and assist with hand-over activities

    Drivers

    Job Description

    • The Driver will work within the Logistics department of Operational Support structure, committed to provide reliable and compliant support to program activities in order to achieve efficient service to program beneficiaries.
    • The driver will provide safe, transport services for MC program and support staff in South Borno. The driver will adhere to all traffic and MC safety rules and follow the transport guidelines required by the MC transport department.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Operate MC vehicles as assigned by supervisor;
    • Maintain vehicle log-sheets in accordance with MC policies/regulations;
    • Check the vehicle conditions after each trip/routinely report needs and problems to transport management;
    • Adhere to all safety and communication protocols as advised by Mercy Corps and supervisor;
    • Responsible for the safekeeping of all vehicle equipment, tools, first aid kits, spares etc.;

    Project Officers

    General Position Summary

    • The project officer will be responsible for supporting activities in the intervention communities of BACRI program.
    • S/He will be responsible for supporting the implementation of strategic, impactful, and high-quality programming.
    • The project officer will report to the Programme Manager and work collaboratively with fellow program staff.
    • S/he will work extensively with other sectors to ensure that all program activities are implemented successfully and timely.

    Livelihood Technical Officer

    General Position Summary

    • The Livelihoods Technical Officer provides expert support to the livelihoods component of the program implementation and ensures the smooth running of the activities in compliance with program deliverables.

    Essential Job Functions

    Monitoring & Evaluation Managers

    General Position Summary

    • The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager will support the program teams with technical oversight and direction on all monitoring and evaluation needs across implementing area.
    • S/he will be responsible for timely and quality reporting and ensuring efficient and effective M&E systems are in place.
    • The M&E manager will be responsible for providing program staff with the information and training to capture monitoring metrics regularly and efficiently.
    • S/he will coordinate with program staff regularly providing technical oversight, problem-solving and support. S/he will be responsible for learning and applying new learnings to M&E systems.

    Essential Job Functions

    • In coordination with program staff adapt existing M&E systems to monitor and evaluate project activities and impact, in accordance with existing Mercy Corps DM&E guidelines.

    • Oversee data tracking and analysis on regular basis and ensure that data and metrics in field reports are accurate.
