About the Affiliate
Novo Nordisk Middle Africa, which Nigeria is affiliated to, was formed in early 2012. Novo Nordisk has an established presence with human insulin in Africa and our focus today is to sustain the growth of the market, ensure availability of better quality modern insulin within the markets and support the communities living with diabetes.
The product manager position is based out of Nigeria and reports to the Strategic Operations manager for Middle Africa.
The key purpose of this position is to define and execute product promotional strategies for the identified product portfolio.
As a product manager, your responsibilities include building up product marketing strategy in his/her accountability in line with the company objectives and strategies, prepare product marketing plan, define and manage product marketing budget, prepare product messages and communication materials evaluate the success of promotional communication, prepare promotional materials and evaluate the success of promotional campaigns, prepare and arrange symposia and panel programs in line with the product marketing plan, prepares and executes congress participation plan for the product, develops and maintains relationships with target customers (KOLs, ROLs, doctors, nurses, dieticians, doctor, pharmacy and patient/civil organizations), and also increase Specialist Product advisors product knowledge.
The product manager travels extensively attending business related meetings, congresses, symposiums and other. Assigned responsibilities require travel and flexible working hours as the meeting and organization activities are executed in accordance with the physicians’ available times and the timelines of scientific meetings. (E.g. congress, seminars and symposia).
You hold a relevant University degree (e.g. in Health Sciences or marketing) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales and marketing, Highly creative, good knowledge of our product range and diabetes, effective communication skills ( mainly written), strong IT knowledge (above average) and strong leadership capabilities.
