Job Description

• Part of integrated construction field engineering team and supporting the Terminal and Offshore design and construction activities.
• Provides functional responsibility as a Piping Engineer, furnishing technical expertise to peers and customers.
• Develops and implements activities related to piping design, ensuring designs are fit for purpose and in accordance with Company design and draughting guidelines.
• Develops designs for compliance with client Engineering Standards and recognized international specifications, including client in Design procedures (SID).
• Participates in inter-disciplinary drawings review within the Field Design office.
• Implements work assignments to support Company operations.
• Mentors junior piping designers

Skills & Experience

• A degree or HND in engineering from a well-recognized academic institution
• A majority of the experience gained must relate to offshore facilities for the oil and gas business.
• Extensive experience in the oil and gas industry predominately spent in a Piping engineering capacity with design consultants.
• A majority of the experience gained must relate to offshore facilities for the oil and gas business.
• Must be fully experienced in performing design utilizing 3D modelling programs such as Bentley.
• Must be conversant with laser tool surveying and capable of interpreting the results.
• Fully conversant with American codes and standards applicable to piping engineering.
• In-depth experience gained in relation to the design, fabrication and installation of offshore piping for the oil and gas industry.
• Must be capable of managing several different design activities concurrently.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Computer literate (Microsoft suite of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Membership of an engineering professional body is encouraged. Must be able to work with little support, with interpersonal skills to work well within a small team
