    Brand Ambassador

     

    Job description

    Represent Pernod Ricard Nigeria & MMPJ (Martel, G.H.Mumm, Perrier-Jouët), as brand ambassador. Support the brand team in planning, tasting,  implementation, and evaluation of wine and spirits field / brand development activities including: image building; product introduction; identification of commercial opportunities for the brand.

    Key Relationships  - In Market

    • Portfolio Manager
    • Commerical & Sales teams
    • Customers (on & off trade)
    • Media and key trade influencers

    Key Relationships  - MMPJ

    • Regional Director (hierarchical report)
    • HR (Personal development induction, group potential assessment)

    Key Tasks: (including decision making authority as agreed with line manager)

    Brand education

    1. Educate PR sales forceensuring comprehensive understanding of the categories, brand’s specificities & key differentiating qualities
    2. In cooperation with sales force, mentor staff in key trade customers
    3. Conduct tastings / education for groups of target consumers, opinion leaders and press
    4. Increase share of mind for MMPJ brands amongst PR employees & key brand stakeholders

     Business and Brand development

    1. Build and manage relationship with selected key customers in order to deliver incremental business locally
    2. Build database and nurture business to consumer and business to business contacts building loyalty, advocacy and sales.
    3. Implement consumer and trade promotions in line with global guidelines
    4. Coordinate clients/consumers/press visits to MMPJ Houses and MMPJ Brands representatives visits in market

     PR support

    1. In cooperation with Marketing and PR Departments, identify PR opportunities suitable for MMPJ brands in line with their communication platform
    2. Ensure media coverage through brand representatives’ presence (Cellar master, MMPJ representatives, Pernod Ricard management) or self-involvement in appropriate cases

     Advocacy

    1. Develop relationships, liaise and influence key media, industry, distributor, trade and other organizations that can play an instrumental role in building brand reputation and advocacy of our brands
    2. Explore opportunities amongst the high net worth individuals and their social set.

     Reporting to Affiliate and Brand Owner

    1. Report MMPJ brands and competitors monthly activities with recommendation
    2. Be the eye and the ear of the market by analyzing trade/consumer insights
    3. Follow Price analysis and sales performance within a defined competitive set

    -   Graduated of a 5 years Business School / Master
    -   Wines & spirits enthusiast and connoisseur
    -   Marketing profile with commercial sensitivity

    -   English: fluent
    -   Local business language : operational
    -   Ability to work in a luxury environment
    -   Down to earth and self-controlled
    -   Extremely outgoing, sociable personality
    -   Excellent presenter with controlled communication
    -   Positive ‘can do’ attitude, flexible, engaged
    -   Ability to show initiative, creativity and entrepreneurial skills
    -   Reliable & Hard working
    -   Ability to adapt to different audiences (from sales force to High-end   consumers)
    -   Integrity and ethics (responsible alcohol consumption and behavior)

    Desirable

    -   Experience in Brand/Trade Marketing
    -   Good numeracy
    -   Good report writing
    -   Experience / interest in travel
    -   Local language
