    Specialist, PMO Governance

    Job Summary       
    Support the prioritisation and alignment of the project portfolio to the organisation's strategic objectives through the compilation and validation of the necessary data/information required to support the process.

    Principal Functions       

    • Support the enhancement of the organisation's project management to maturity by facilitating project management training sessions for project stakeholders.
    • Carry out quality assurance of projects by reviewing audits to ensure conformance to approved enterprise project management processes and framework.
    • Support Manager, Corporate Governance with the gathering and validation of necessary information required to support the balancing of the project portfolio.
    • Support the continuous improvement of the project management framework by documenting and updating the project processes based on recommendations from process review exercises.
    • Compile and validate the project status/progress reports for the bi-weekly Project Prioritisation Board meeting.
    • Assist Project/Program Managers with project planning and scheduling activities
    • Support the successful administration of project delivery by taking up project coordination roles as assigned by Line Manager
    • Champion project learning and knowledge sharing by facilitating the storage and retrieval of all strategic Project/program documentation in a central repository
    • Support process KPI performance measurement through the compilation and preparation of identified strategic processes and SLAs.

    Educational Requirements

    Engineer, IP & PS Core Network

    Job Summary       
    Responsible for performance analysis and monitoring of packet switching components of Etisalat's core network, systems and platforms and ensure that quality of service standards are strictly adhered to.
           
    Principal Functions       

    • Perform timely monitoring and analysis of packet switching network capacity for all the GSM elements, features, protocols etc.
    • Monitor and provide analysis on packet switching network elements to ensure optimal use and deployment of resources.
    • Monitor and provide analysis on IPN for packet switching network elements to ensure optimal bandwidth and high security.
    • Provides analysis on translating Etisalat business plan and subscriber growth assumptions into requirements for the core network packet switching system.
    • Attendance of meetings & follow through on action points based on defined target dates.
    • Reporting of interface utilisation at different intervals & provide adequate & realistic plans for upgrade to avoid congestions.
    • Performs technical investigations into areas related to packet switching network design and Data performance, such as new types of hardware, new design methodologies, impact of new Data technologies.
    • Provide Weekly & Monthly Reports as required.
    • Interact with external and internal stakeholders to regularly update & deliver detailed design documentation on Core PS & Datacomms Network (HLDs and LLDs)
    • Effective project management & High Quality delivery of all assigned PS Core & Datacomms projects on set date following PMI standard
    • Performs any other duties as assigned by the Manager / Head, QoS.
    • Implement necessary communication strategy for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments.
    • Report as necessary on changes in standards (internally and externally initiated) and on performance against standards as customer perception side.
    • Develop comprehensive dashboard for extensive performance and capacity utilization monitoring.
    • Monitor and Perform analysis on OTT traffic and performance measurements and create a dashboard incorporating performance and utilization details.       

    Educational Requirements       

    • First degree in Engineering or a related field

    Experience, Skills & Competencies       

    • One (1) to two (2) years post NYSC relevant work experience
    • Network Operations
    • Good knowledge of ALL data technologies.
    • Telecommunications & Mobile Network Standards & Specifications for datacomm.
    • Transmission Network IP, TDM, BB, Backhauls, Leased lines /last mile, FO etc.
    • Core Network Planning and Design.
    • Sound knowledge of Mobile & Enterprise Networks (IP, Circuit & Packet Core).
    • IP Network design & Planning
    • Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio)
    • Proficient in using IP performance monitoring tools for all major vendors Huawei, Cisco, juniper etc.
