    Senior Officer: Interconnect Long - Distance Destination (ILD)

     

    Job Purpose

    This function is expected to act as the representative for technical and functional requirements in the area in the area of Access Agnostic Packet Core (AAPCN) solutions to support both Mobile and Enterprise services. The role will define the optimal topology of the AAPCN network to meet a premium service level agreements and industry architecture for next generation EPC and its
    environment; This role provides Level-1 support to the function with hands-on knowledge and experience on the nodes and ensures FTR configurations.

    Key Accountabilities

    PS Core, Operations to ensure Uninterrupted voice and data service delivery

    • Perform day to day operations and management, fix alarms and resolve incidents, prepare daily health check status and report to the team lead
    • Perform Change Management, performance and optimization through O&M and Performance Management processes
    • Ensure all Faults, Trouble Tickets  Incidents are recorded and addressed within SLAs. Documentation of all such events are prepared with RFO, RCA and RCF. Weekly and monthly report of such incidents are prepared to do analytic study on them by the team lead and reduce incidents
    • Implement all BISP related tasks and perform duties within BISP framework.
    • Perform NOC integration for alarm reporting and escalation.
    • Execute patches and support update/upgrade process
    • Perform ATP, UAT on services and nodes
    • Support TSG team in resolving customer complaints

    Update Documentation.

    • Update Solution document, HLD, DLD, LLD along with Network Diagram
    • Keep document management updated

    Capacity optimization availability and performance management

    • Perform adequate day to day capacity optimization, of all nodes, interfaces MPC/EPC and AAPCN related Nodes - in accordance with network growth and projections.
    • Continuously being the loop of the network traffic, licenses,   trends and various parameters to ensure the Network elements are operating as expected. Where required, take corrective action with input from TL and Group Planning team

    Support in Expansion and Evolution of Core Network

    • Understand the business requirements and impact on the IP backbone and data network infrastructure.
    • Support expansion of nodes well in advance.
    • Support evolution of AAPCN to best industry practices.

    Employee Engagement

    • Maintain high Team Harmony and Engagement at all times with both  internal and external teams and stakeholders.

    Vendor/Partner Engagement

    • Ensure that the Vendor Customer Support and supplier vendors are engaged at all times to deliver high quality output expected first time right.

    Educational Qualifications and Functional / Technical Skills

    • Bachelor/Masters of Telecommunication/Electronic Engineering degree/Computer Science
    • Detailed working Telecommunications Knowledge
    • Analytical and Presentation skills
    • Detailed understanding of IP/MPLS and its role in the Telecommunications industry.
    • A basic understanding of 3GPP /ITU-T and ETSI standards is required.

    Relevant Experience

    • Minimum of 2 - 5 years hands - on working experience in large Mobile Network Operator with the MPC or EPC domains.
    • Multivendor experience - Including experience with Charging nodes interaction in data networks.
    • Good understanding of the commercial deployment of EPC/LTE, which could includes hands-on operations, test and/or   deployment. Understanding of the evolution of 3G networks moving towards 4G.
    • Detailed understanding of IP technology
    • Tracing and analysis acumen and experience on end to end E2E service flow.
    • Experience on Sy, ESy, Pre-Sy, PCRF interactions with Charging System
    • Experience of deployment of key network systems through the delivery life cycle from initial design to full operational   handover

    Senior Officer: Regional Operations

     

    Job Purpose

    Responsible for overseeing all active Network operational activities in regional switch site, support in activation of new sites, and new active node integration. Ensure all related faults in the network are resolved within defined time frame, perform node backup and alarm monitoring. Perform basic routine maintenance and periodic health check on all active nodes. Ensure Network node availability.

    Support in Network project Expansion and roaming activation. Perform basic switch configuration and roaming activation. Ensure weekly reporting of operational activities, outages and accomplished network improvement.

    Key Accountabilities

    Operations        

    • Ability to prepare data transcript and execute core configuration command.
    • Support in activation of new sites, and new node integration.
    • Support in Acceptance test plan (ATP) for new nodes integration.
    • Perform daily node backup and alarm monitoring
    • Ensure availability of all active network nodes (Core, BSS, Transmission, MPBN, IN and VAS) and its interface links.
    • Perform basic routine maintenance and periodic health check on all active nodes (Core, BSS, Transmission, MPBN, IN and VAS)
    • Interface with NOC/2nd line support on escalated issues and ensure timely resolution.
    • Support to resolve customer’s complaint.
    • Support in analyzing fault and investigating root cause.
    • Coordination of approved field Activities in your domain
    • Support both Software and Hardware upgrade on Network Element.
    • Perform weekly reporting of operational activities, outages, Backups alarms and accomplished network improvement.
    • Supervise all third party node integration and maintenance activities within your domain

    Reporting           

    • Provide Emergency/Monthly/weekly network reports
    • Collate weekly outages, alarm and backups
    • Measure KPIs of Core Networks and report variance.

    Supervision       

    • Monitor Network node availability
    • Ensure adherence to SLA where necessary to ensure Airtel interest is not jeopardize at all times

    Educational Qualifications and Functional / Technical Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Engineering or any related applied science field.

    Relevant Experience

    • At least 4 years Core Networks Operational experience in GSM environment.

    Retail Area Business Manager - Shops and Franchise

     

    Job Purpose

    Develop and implement retail strategy among  Zonal/Area shops to achieve predefined  return on investment through excellent product sales drive, service delivery, issue resolution and operations management.

    Key Accountabilities

    Financial Performance of Showrooms, AES & Franchise locations within the zone

    • Drive showroom shop team to maximize sales opportunities and ensure that all targets are achieved within region      franchise/ retail touch points.
    • Effectively cascade and monitor zonal/area month-on-month sales targets across these touch points
    • Ensuring sales of devices and ERC achieving target on all product categories.
    • Optimize operating costs and driving revenue growth to ensure Positive P&L result in all Retail shops, AES &      Franchise.

    Senior Officer: Data Voice Roaming IREG

     

    Job Purpose

    This function is expected to act for technical requirements in the area of Core and Roaming services. Be involved in activation of roaming services with new operators worldwide, periodical tests and new test according to the changes or improvement of new numbering/routing plan. Ensure regular governance and roaming KPI’s are delivered as defined targets.

    Key Accountabilities

    Ensure and Maintain Roaming Performance for Voice/Data/SMS KPIs. Roaming service activation & Troubleshooting. Configuration and Testing activity.  

    • IREG tests preparation and execution as per business defined targets
    • Proactive checks and analysis as per Roaming Dashboard Activities defined and drive improvement actions in close coordination with Roaming Manager
    • Roaming Traffic analysis and improvement action plan to be driven
    • Technical guidance and QoS Monitoring thru effective usage of Roaming Suite and other related products
    • Drive and Deliver Roaming Products and Solutions to enhance customer delight & Roaming Revenue
    • Ensure Weekly Governance with Business, IT and RA to review the   status of new launches, Customer complaints and fraud
    • Monitoring of Roaming Inbound and Outbound Traffic
    • Regular Configuration audit and implement service gaps
