Our client -one of the outstanding consultancy companies in the Middle East has just won a seven years service contract in one of the major oil producing companies in the Middle East. We are seeking for experience Nigerians in the oil and gas sector with the highest standards of integrity, ability to build strong working relationships and interact in a multi cultural and diverse environment.
We are recruiting for the following positions:
Pipeline Engineers (6)
Mechanical Static Engineer (1)
Mechanical Rotating Specialist Engineer (1) Process Engineer(3)
Electrical Engineer (3)
Civil/Structural Engineer (2)
General Role: To execute discipline front end and detailed design input to engineering projects. Execute technical support studies as requested. Provide engineering support to the construction/commissioning phases as necessary. Provide engineering support to maintenance and operations as requested. He/she shall report to relevant discipline head.
Qualification and Experience: Degree in discipline Engineering (B.Sc./M.Sc./B.Eng.). Engineers shall have membership of an internationally accepted applicable professional Institute. Minimum 8 years oil & gas engineering experience. Experience in front end, detailed design required (minimum 6 years experience in an engineering design company). Candidate must be conversant with relevant international standards. Experience with Producing Company and/or Shell Group projects and standards(SPs and DEPs) is strongly preferred. Field experience in construction and commissioning and stoppling of pipelines.
Specific experience (Pipeline Engineer): shall encompass oil, gas, water, multi-phase pipelines of all classes, greenfield as well as brownfield expansion of existing pipeline networks. Experience of shutdown tie-in work to existing lines is required. Fully conversant with pipeline design codes (API5L, API6D, NACE, ANSI/ASME 831.4, 31.8, VIII, IX). Experience in GRE pipelines, hot tapping and stoppling of pipelines
Specific experience (Mechanical Static Engineer) shall encompass all aspects of mechanical system design, equipment (static and rotating), piping systems, design and construction standards, codes of practice. Relevant knowledge, skills and experience in equipment sizing software, codes. Working knowledge of materials and corrosion, pipelines. Relevant appreciation of other discipline areas and interface requirements to mechanical engineering.
Specific experience (Mechanical Rotating Specialist Engineer):
Specialist experience shall encompass all types of rotating equipment; pumps, compressors, fans, gas turbines. Extensive experience as package engineer on all types of rotating equipment required; responsible for equipment specification, sourcing, Vendor design interface, acceptance testing, and commissioning support.
Specific experience (Control & Automation Senior Engineer) in IPF/SIL classification methodologies is required. Experience with Foxboro/Honeywell DCS systems is strongly preferred. Commissioning and plant start-up, plant control optimization field experience is strongly preferred.
Specific experience (Process Engineer): to Carry out process simulations and optimization studies for projects; prepare PFS, H&M balances and equipment sizing. Provide process engineering support for ad-hoc technical studies as requested. Establish the actual (as opposed to design) capacities and capabilities of existing field facilities in order to identify potential bottlenecks and scope for optimization. Relevant appreciation of all other discipline area works and interface requirements to process engineering.
Specific experience (Electrical Engineer) in front end and detailed design of HV/LV substations and overhead line distribution associated with oil and gas facilities. Experience in higher voltage system design is preferred.
Detailed knowledge of specification of electrical equipment for use in hazardous areas.
Specific experience(Civil/Structural Engineer) shall encompass design of large oil and gas facilities, involving heavy rotating/static equipment, foundations, facilities, buildings, support structures using computerized tools such as STAAD or equivalent
PROJECT ENGINEERS (3)
Role: Shall have worked as a single-point responsible project engineer for a medium size oil/gas project (>50 MM$) or managing multiple smaller projects concurrently. He/she shall have proven capabilities in managing and motivating all disciplines to deliver projects. He/she shall demonstrate sound commercial appreciation and judgment. Shall demonstrate sound I general management skills in all aspects of the work, be extremely well organized, methodical.
Qualification and Experience: Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (B.Sc./M.Sc./B.Eng.) and membership of internationally accepted applicable professional Institute. Minimum of 8 years experience in design, specification, construction and general project engineering of oil and gas facilities, with a sound knowledge (min. 3 years experience) of project cost control/planning systems
Specific experience: hands on experience on planning software tools such as PRIMAVERA or equivalent
Civil/Structural Designer (2)

Role: To provide projects with mechanical/piping / pipe line / electrical / control & automation or civil engineering drawings. He/she shall report to relevant discipline head.
Qualification and Experience: Minimum HND/HNC or certificate from' recognized training institute in engineering. Lower level qualifications may be considered only in exceptional cases of having a good level of experience to compensate, Minimum of 8 years related experience plus proven capability in an engineering design firm, Minimum of 3 years experience in design of oil & ,gas facilities with experience in front end and detailed design plus experience in AutoCAD. Producing Company or Shell Group experience is preferred or 'equivalent.
These positions offer competitive compensation and benefit package commensurate with what is obtainable in the upstream sector oil and gas industries in the Gulf countries. As part of the packages, the company would bear the cost of your flight (including your nuclear family) upon recruitment if base in the capital.
