Job description
- Preparation of Civil Underground Drawings / System in accordance with EPC Technical Work Practices, EPCstandards and Client standards, Plot plans and latest Vendor Data
- Be fully conversant with the principles of design of gravity fed underground drainage systems and flood systems
- Be familiar with how Oil & Gas Clients undertake the underground system design in such manuals as SAES, DEPPs, GPs and other similar documentation
- Be conversant with design of storm drainage systems (open and closed systems), gravity contaminated systems, pressurized contaminated systems
- Understand terminology used for different types of systems, how they fit into a overall coordinated scheme design and the environmental issues that need to be addressed
- Support development of 3D model in an integrated solution to all drainage systems
- Be conversant with developing complete MTOs, plus the preparation and management of purchase requisitions
- Checking of drawings / models in accordance with EPC Technical Work Practises, EPC standards and Client standards, Plot Plans and latest Vendor Data
- Development of qualification to support AMUSE material handling
- Coordinate with other EPC affiliated offices with respect to workshare practices
- Keep abreast of the project strategy and key drivers, participate in Model Reviews as and when required and report changes to the Lead Designer/Lead Engineer
Desired Skills and Experience
- An Engineering degree, ideally in a relevant discipline
- A good understanding of the design of underground design systems to recognized national and international standards
- Experience in a similar position, preferably on an oil / gas project
- proven strong character and self-motivated individual
- Proven ability to engage in effective dealings with both client / owner and detail design contractors
- Must be able to work with the minimum of supervision and be technically strong
