  • Are you qualified accountant with extensive knowledge in general accounting bookings, calculations on OPEX including Taxes (WHT, VAT, CIT/EDT, Transfer price) and internal control. Do you have Business Operations experience and looking for a role that gives you the ability to be more hands-on in your role.

    Our client is a global chemical, engineering and energy company with a global presence. They are at the beginning phase of expanding their presence in Nigeria and the Senior Accountant/Operations Manager vacancy has arisen to assist the General Manager in ensuring that the business is meeting the objectives that has been set by their headquarters in East Asia.

    Senior Accountant / Operations Manager

     

    The ideal candidate must be a qulaified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAN or a recognised accreditation), with strong knowledge in Audit, Tax, and Transfer Pricing from both a local and international perspective.

    Working closely with the General Manager, you will manage a team of 5 so you would also be a people person who can demonstrate excellent management skills, self-sufficient attributes, and can use their own initiative and think outside the box.
    You should be able to develop innovative ideas to ensure that the business runs smoothly in line with the business objectives of our client.

    This position is ideal for an individual with at least 2 years’ post NYSC experience working within the Accounts Department and would like a role that allows you to implement a process to ensure the smooth running of the finances in the organisation, monitoring cash flow, suggest financial plans to management including budget management.

    The ideal candidate would also demonstrate the ability to run an office operationally as this role requires the successful candidate to be an Assistant to the General Manager.  This includes, managing a team of 5 staff, general personnel administration, and Customer/Client Relation Activities.

    The successful candidate should possess the following:

    • Degree in Accounting or Economics
    • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAN, FRC or any related accreditation)
    • Strong Business Administration and Management skills
    • Excellent Communication Skills
    • Good monitoring on Cash Flow and demonstrate the ability to manage budgets
    • Comprise financial reports and maintain a high level of organisation
    • The ability to demonstrate a proactive attitude
    • Strong Presentation skills
