    Trade Services Product Manager

    Job Description

    Job Purpose:

    • Market Trade Services products to customers
    • Work with business segments to develop business solutions to product and other issues identified by customers in the relevant business segments
    • Refine existing Trade Services products and develop new ones that meet the needs of customers based on Relationship Managers’, customers’ and competition’sfeedback
    • Grow Trade Services assets and market share with customers
    • Monitor product performance and address issues affecting sales as highlighted by customers or relationship managers
    • Pro-active management of internal credit and pricing issues; lines and X-border etc.

    Job Background/context:

    • This position is to develop  a strong proposition for trade services products especially  for our GSG and TTLC business  segments in Nigeria.
    • It will focus on delivering working capital solutions as well as develop/ implement  Trade Services  products for the use of clients across all market segments (both current and prospective).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Business planning and development, corporate reporting and financial management of trade Services and trade financing products.
    • Develop local and international finance products to meet the need of customers and enhance profitability
    • Actively originate international trade products, initiating new trade deals and growing existing portfolios.
    • Build and leverage client relationship to grow share of wallet.
    • Identify potential banking wallet and opportunities through market sizing.
    • Identify and develop cross sell opportunities across various product offerings.
    • Monitor and report on asset utilization levels
    • Conduct training for the customers and staff to ensure proper understanding of the International trade products and the regulatory/economic environment.
    • Worked closely with other units of the bank, operations, technology, finance, treasury, relationship, legal, compliance to ensure seamless trade offerings.
    • Actively engage Risk on line allocation
    • Prepare product plans yearly for review by Trade Head
    • Conduct annual review of product programs
    • Prepare regular reports, which will serve as indicators to management of product performance based on established goals. Some of these reports are: monthly volumes, wallet sizing report, product grid, pipeline of new deals etc.
    • Carry out market intelligence about the competition, and ensure that we adopt best practices.
    • Liaise constantly with Trade Operations team to ensure understanding of the product by Trade Operations staff and ensure efficient delivery to customers.
    • Conduct business reviews with marketing units and meet with operations and technology on a regular basis.
    • Liaise with the regulators (Central Bank of Nigeria, Customs, etc.) to ensure that regulatory constraints relating to products are quickly resolved.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge/Experience:

    • Good knowledge of trade products and working capital flows of customers will be key to performance in this function.
    • Strong quantitative and analytic experience. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are important requirements as well.
    • Minimum of 12 years banking experience
    • Experience in business case analysis and development  - ROI, Cost-Benefit analysis etc.
    • Ability to function and deliver results/solutions without supervision

    Country Risk Analyst

    Job Description

    Job Purpose:
    Provide financial analysis, risk assessment and analytical support for the assigned credit relationships in Financial Institutions Group (FIG), Global Subsidiary Group (GSG) and Global Corporate Bank (GCB) - with specific responsibility for providing risk analysis and monitoring of existing and new credit relationships across the entire portfolio.  The role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of credit and banking products as well as exposure to an array of Citigroup’s ICG products. The role provides an opportunity for wide ranging engagement with various stakeholders, including business and risk managers, relationship teams, clients and external agencies.
     
    Job Background/context:
    Risk Analysis team has analytical responsibility for Citibank Nigeria’s credit portfolio - covering Financial Institutions, Food & Beverages, Telecommunications, Oil Exploration & Production, Oil Marketing, Oil Servicing, Fast moving consumer goods, GovernmentPublic Sector and Infrastructure entities. The portfolio consists of predominantly non-investment grade credits - with a few investment grades as well as criticized credits. The portfolio spans various industry sub-sectors with each analyst exposed to multiple sub-sectors and multiple relationships in Financial Institutions Group (FIG), Global Subsidiary Group (GSG), Global Corporate Bank (GCB) and GovernmentPublic Sector.
     
    Key Responsibilities:

    • Risk assessment and analysis of existing and new relationships - including periodic review of financial results and statements to monitor operating performance, liquidity position and financial condition
    • The role involves peer analysis. Identification of industry/economic trends and outlook as well as preparation of financial projections & sensitivity analysis
    • Collaborate as appropriate with product partners and relationship teams for new and/or refinancing credit transactions such as term loans or event-driven financing with specific responsibility for risk analysis, preparation of financial model and sensitivity analysis
    • Interact with product groups, depending on the needs and complexity of each credit and transaction - which may include term loans/syndications amongst others
    • Client management including assisting in developing appropriate credit strategies and attending client meetings,  as appropriate, in managing day to day relations

    Qualifications

    Person Specification

    Knowledge/Experience:

    • Strong accounting & finance knowledge
    • Financial modelling experience
    • Knowledge of credit and banking products such as Syndicated Loans
    • Knowledge of Citigroup credit policies and procedures preferred
    • Minimum of 10 years post qualification working experience with at least 7 years relevant experience

    Skills and competence:
