Background and Responsibilities
IITA seeks a highly motivated and qualified individual with experience in Impact Monitoring and Evaluation (IM&E) and management of interdisciplinary team to serve as ‘Project Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist’ for an ongoing Project ‘Yam Improvement for Income and Food security in West Africa (YIIFSWA)’ supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF). The principal focus of this project is on establishing sustainable commercial seed yam systems in Nigeria and Ghana.
The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate project IM&E activities in Nigeria and Ghana to ensure that outputs are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality assurance standards according to agreed to annual work plans and budgets. The Project Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will report to the YIIFSWA Project Leader.

Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a PhD degree in social science or agricultural economics or other relevant discipline from a recognized university.
