    Food Security & Livelihoods Deputy Program Manager

    The Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Deputy Program Manager will primarily be responsible for implementing the Cash transfer program as part of ACF’s multi-sectorial response programs in Yobe state, Nigeria. The programs aim to protect and restore the livelihoods of people affected by insurgency in Yobe State through the replacement or rehabilitation of pre-existing livelihood assets and inputs, through cash based interventions and capacity building to improve skills or production in pre-existing livelihood assets.

    Summary of Key Objectives:
    •    Support in the implementation of the FSL and cash-based components of the program
    •    Manage field teams within FSL and cash programs to ensure compliance, technical quality and coherence in all FSL interventions.
    •    Ensure tracking and reporting of technical activities under livelihood and cash programs.
    •    Participate in regular internal and external coordination for the program at LGA level and at state level when required.

    Qualifications 
    •    Degree in FSL and cash based intervention related studies e.g. agro-economy, eceonomics, anthropology, etc.
    •    Minimum two years’ work experience in humanitarian contexts, with at least 1 year in conflict/insecure contexts.

    Essential Skills & Experience: 
    •    Professional, motivated, open, creative, mature, responsible, flexible and, culturally sensitive
    •    Excellent team, budget and project management and representation competencies
    •    Previous experience with food security and livelihoods programming.
    •    Three years relevant work experience 
    •    Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word)
    •    Willing and able to be based and travel regularly within remote areas, where services are limited.
    •    Fluency in English.
    •    Commitment to ACF mission, values and policy

    Preferred
    •    Previous experience managing cash based interventions (i.e. cash for work, cash transfers or cash vouchers)
    •    Previous experience with ACF
    •    Experience implementing programming on behalf of donor (i.e. USAID, ECHO, DFID, CIDA) funded activities
    •    Fluency in Hausa

    WASH Technical Officer

    The WASH Technical Officer will be working under the leadership and guidance of the WASH Emergency Response Program Manager, accountable for professional technical contribution to drilling and construction of the WASH project activities within the framework of the emergency response program in Borno state, Nigeria. 

    Summary of Key Objectives:
    •    Overall supervision of water and sanitation construction activities including preparing technical design and bills of quantities.
    •    Train and build the capacity of staffs and partners 
    •    Coordinate with internal staff and local stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation
         
    Qualifications; Essential Skills & Experience:  
    •    Degree in Water engineering, hydrology, civil engineering, and other related fields 
    •    Previous experience in supervising drilling and construction activities
    •    Professional, good organizational capacity, motivated, open, creative, mature, responsible, flexible and, culturally sensitive
    •    Three years relevant work experience 
    •    Microsoft Office and designing software Skills (AutoCAD, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word)
    •    Willing and able to be based and travel regularly within remote areas, where services are limited.
    •    Fluency in Hausa and English
    •    Commitment to ACF mission, values and policy

    Preferred
    •    Previous experience of work in the humanitarian sector 
    •    Good knowledge of the intervention area/s and local economy
    •    Previous experience with ACF
