Major Accountabilities of the position:
• To ensure Health, Safety and Environment has the highest priority in all activities undertaken by Engineering and Design personnel.

• An extensive current design experience is required in structural design and engineering, for topsides structural layouts and detailed structural design, all gained with notable design contractors and/or oil/gas companies within the petrochemical industry particularly with respect to offshore.

• Ensure design team are aware of, and are complying with, client’s Basis of Design and applicable Regulations and codes.
• Monitor design activities, interdiscipline data flow and communications
• Assist the project Director in the planning of the project and supports and management of the design, procurement and construction activities to meet the project schedule
• Monitor the key reports and the development of corrective action plans.
• Ensure timely and effective documentation turnover and project close-out.
• Supports the project Director in defining the project quality requirements.
• Ensure the right systems are in place and that these are applied on the project.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Supports the project Director in the implementation of lessons learned system
• Ensure effective communications with the project team.
• Ensure accurate, timely & effective progress reporting to the Client and internally to management.
• Ensure ongoing monitoring of the communication network between project staff, the client and third parties and introduction of changes where required.

Industry Specific Experience:
Approximately 8 years’ industry experience
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
• Bachelor of Science or HND in relevant discipline. Professional registration with active membership in a professional society (COREN or NSE) Project Manager (CPPM) certification or equivalent
IT Skills:
Skilled knowledge of IT and Project Management
People Skills:
Excellent communications skills are required, high levels of enthusiasm, ability to self manage, strong analytical skills.
