Activities

• ·      Preparesmonitorsandexpeditesstructuralfabrication,assemblyandcompletionactivitiescarriedoutby Contractororsubcontractorsrelatedto hisdisciplineuntilsailawayforpressurevesselsandFPSO integrationin Nigeria.
• ·      Assiststhestructuralsuperintendenthis dutiescovering  allconstructionphases,includingconstruction methods,yardsprefabrications,construction,structuralassemblyand completionasrelatedtohis discipline.Heattendsmeetingsasrequiredbyhishierarchy.Heimplementshishierarchyinstructionsand organizeshis inspectionteam accordingly.
• ·      Ensurethatallconstructionactivitiesrelatedto his disciplineareperformedsafelyandefficientlyinlinewith companyobjectives.
• ·     Reviewproceduresandsitequeriesinduetimerelatedtostructuralatsite.
• ·      Monitorstructuralpreparationsforinstallationofequipmentand/orstructuralassemblypart including removalandre-instatementof deck/module.
• ·     Ensurecontractorto followandcomplywithrequirementof CompanyspecificationGS STR.
• ·     ReviewsstructuralmaterialcertificatesarrivedatworkshoptogetherwithQA/QCsuperintendent.
• ·     MonitorQCactivitieswithinhisdiscipline.
• ·     EstablishasmoothandefficientworkingrelationshipwithCONTRACTOR.
• ·      Tomaintaingoodrelationshipswithcontractors,beingrelativelyflexible,proactivebutalsostrictwhen necessarytoachievetheobjectivesoftheproject.
• ·     Toensurethatsafetyremainsthemainpriorityontheconstructionsiteatalltimes.
• ·     Attendthetoolboxmeetings.
• ·     Heparticipatesinthepreparationof AsBuiltdocumentation.

The holderoftheposition shallinparticularberesponsiblefor:

• •   Allstructuralsteelprefabrication,assembly,erection,NDE,PWHTanddimensionalcontrolsasperqualifiedprocedures includingprimarysteelmembers,secondarysteel,platformstoequipment,installationaidsandpaintinginaccordance withApprovedForConstruction(AFC) drawings, applicableCodesandStandardsandSpecifications.
• •   SupervisingateamofSCNLpersonneldedicatedtosubseastructural packagesofabout11,500tonsinweight.
• •   Reviewing andvalidatingonshoreCTR organization requiredtosupervisetheseonshore constructionactivities.
• •   Reviewing andanalyzing  theonshoreconstruction scheduleand providingfeedbacktotheConstructionSuperintendent.
• •    AssessthesuitabilityorotherwiseofCTRassignedworkforceinordertoprovideearlywarningsregardingconstruction schedule.
• •    Assessingthesuitability, availabilityorotherwise of  CTR-assigned  equipment  and  materials  required  for  structural constructionactivities.
• •    EnsuringappropriatecoordinationandseamlessinterfacewithotheronshoreconstructionUFRsub-packagesinlinewith the overallSCNLscopeofwork.
• •   Assistingandtakingpartin allUFR load-outoperationsatSCNL’syardasmayberequired.
• •   Ensuringthatas-builtdossierscomplywith all QA/QC requirements.
• •   ProvidingweeklyandmonthlyUFR construction updatestotheConstructionSuperintendent.
• •   Takingpartin daily,weeklyand monthlyprogressreviewmeetingsasmayberequired.
• •    ProvidinginputstotheConstructionSuperintendenttoassisthiminthepreparationoftheUFRclose-outreportsforthe constructionactivitiesoperations.
• •    LiaisingwiththeSCNLUFRConstructionSuperintendentonaroutinebasisfortheresolutionofoutstandingissue(s),if any.
• •    Providingfeedbacktotheconstructionsuperintendentonrequiredlevelandqualityofpersonnelatanypointintime,in orderto managemobilisationanddemobilisation ofCPYsitepersonnel dedicatedtoStructuralfabricationscopeatSCNL.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCEREQUIRED

• •    Chartered Engineer or similareducationlevel,withasoundOil&Gastechnicalbackground(multi-discipline)indeep offshoreconstruction.
• •    Minimumof10yearsworkingexperienceinanOilandGasindustrywithastrongbackgroundinsubseaconstruction activities.
• •   Good knowledgeof internationalsubseadesigncodes/standardsandCOMPANYgeneralspecifications.
• •    Proven  background  in  improving  quality,  procedures,  planning,  coordination,  organization  and  productivity  of  the contractorshesupervises.
• •   A self-motivatednaturalleaderwith excellentcommunicationanddelegationskills.
• •   Credibleworkingrelationships within multiculturalteams.
• •   FluencyinEnglishboth verballyand inwriting.
