CARANA Corporation (www.carana.com), a contractor for USAID, designs and directs innovative economic growth strategies to help countries and businesses compete globally, reducing poverty and raising living standards around the world. For over 30 years, we have specialized in market-led solutions to development challenges in more than 100 countries, packaging our expertise with on-the-ground resources for continuing, cost-effective results.
The USAID Nigeria Expanded Trade and Transport Program (NEXTT), implemented by CARANA Corporation, seeks to improve trade policy, support trade capacity building and remove bottlenecks to the free flow of goods, especially agricultural goods. NEXTT contributes to food security and poverty reduction in Nigeria and supports regional trade and transportation objectives by facilitating trade flows. It supports Nigeria’s participation in the African Growth and Opportunities Act (AGOA) and complements agricultural productivity improvement efforts under the United States Government’s food security initiative Feed the Future with three program activities: transport corridor improvements, policy reform and trade facilitation, and expanded export support.
NEXTT seeks a Manager to implement and monitor a Project Development Facility (PDF) designed to mobilize private capital for high priority investments in agribusiness, transport, logistics or infrastructure along the Lagos-Kano-Jibiya (LAKAJI) corridor.
