    Business Analyst

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Reports
    • Monthly Financial Reports
    • Accurate TB
    • Revenue posting
    • Monitor closure checklist

    Key Result Areas:

    • Produce timely and accurate financial reports and statements including the statement of comprehensive income, statement of changes in equity and statement of financial position.
    • Ensure an accurate and complete TB is generated by closure date
    • Revenue is reconciled and posted accordingly accruing where necessary
    • Ensure closure checklist is complied with before closure deadline
    • Track prepayments, depreciation, accruals and provisions.

    Management Accounts:

    • Compile Group Managements Accounts
    • Update local financial reports monthly for management use
    • Circulate accurate Group Management Accounts by due date
    • Compile and update the local financial report format for management consumption

    Budgets and Cost Monitoring

    • Annual budgets
    • Projections and forecasts
    • Cost monitoring and control
    • Prepare annual budget including providing outlines on methodology of preparation and timetabling
    • Prepare 2yr, 5ys, 10yrs and 15yrs projections based on economic assumption and business expectations
    • Prepare forecasts for the following months, quarters and year estimates
    • Advise management on cost overruns based on budget/forecast targets ensuring no negative deviations that compromise profitability

    Cost centre reporting

    • Generate cost centre reports
    • Establish margins per cluster
    • Prepare cost centre for support departments that reveals cost overruns and mitigating factors
    • Establish cluster by cluster margin reports clearly identifying overall margins and cost line performances against budgets/targets

    Accounting controls

    • Develop accounting processes and procedure manual
    • Monitor compliances and report deviations
    • Compile an accounting processes and procedures document which introduces internal controls capable of guiding companywide financial transactions
    • Monitor and report violation/deviation from processes and procedures

    Ad hoc Reports
    • Business plans and feasibilities
    • Board Reports
    • IFRS Compliances
    • Group Reporting requirements
    • Others

    • Prepare business plans and feasibilities that complies with company acceptable margins
    • Compile board reports for quarterly board meetings
    • Ensure the accounting transactions are captured in conformity to IFRS requirements
    • Generate group financial reports from time to time
    • Produce reports as may be directed by the finance manager.

    Qualifications :    
    Education: Degree (business related) ----ICAN/ACCA in view
    Age: 25-33

    Experience:

    • Financial statements
    • Management accounts
    • Budgeting
    • Variance analysis

    Competencies:

    • Experienced in working with accounting software, QuickBooks, Pastel etc
    • Outstanding presentation skills
    • Highly analytical
    • Keenness to detail
    • Ability to work independently
    • Ability to work in a highly computerized environment
    • Ability to work under pressure and excellent organizational skills
    • Willingness and ability to work such hours as are necessary to accomplish job requirements
