Job summary
The Financial Controller will be responsible for oversight of all finance accounting and reporting activities for daily operations. The Controller will be involved in supporting presentations to the board finance and audit committee and will work closely with the senior leadership team.

Job Objective
To coordinate proper planning, directing and controlling financial and administrative functions to ensure smooth running of the farm’s business operations

Reporting Relationship
Reports to: GH, Corporate Services
Supervises: Head, Mgt & Financial Reporting, Treasury, General Accounts

Responsibilities
• Provide overall leadership and direct operations within the group
• Provide and/or oversee the company‘s financial activities
• Responsible for senior level decision making and both day to day management and strategic direction of the organisation
• Establish and co-ordinate financial systems ,procedure s and control
• Ensure business compliance with Company Financial policies , in conformance with legislation and generally accepted accounting practice
• Manage timely, and regular preparation and presentation of financial statements and reports as required by all pertinent laws and regulations to the Board of Directors
• Manage and monitor annual budget, other budgets, financial plans, business plans, feasibility studies, investment memoranda and all other financial and business documents as may be required from time to time by the Board of Directors of the firm
• Coordinate the activities of outside suppliers of financial services hired or contracted by the firm
• Manage investments and reserves

Education /Professional Qualification
• Qualification: First Degree in Accounting, Master Degree in Finance, Accounting or Administration and ACA, ACCA , CIMA or CFA
• Minimum Experience: 10 years and above in Accounting Department of a reputable organization/group of companies
