Who we need
A Bachelor’s degree or HND in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, Horticulture or any other related discipline.
Two or more years of practical experience in growing fruit and leafy vegetables on a commercial scale.
Great passion for organic agriculture and environmental safety.
Smart marketing abilities
Very organized
Attention to details
Ability to make sound business decisions
Familiarity with basic finance and accounting
What you will do
Overall responsibility for farm administration and processes.
Plan farm finances and maintain all financial records
Develop and implement vegetables growing schedules to ensure maximum profits
Ensure production of organic, safe and high quality vegetables
Monitor soil fertility and water quality
Manage compost pile
Monitor the incidence of pest and diseases and make efforts to prevent their occurrence
Responsible for managing staff
Marketing farm produce
Ensure compliance to the farm’s HSE policy
Assess the farm’s risk exposures and suggest appropriate insurance policies to be subscribed to
Make contingency plans to manage exposure to weather risks;
Responsible for the maintenance of farm assets
Responsible for procuring all farm inputs
