May & Baker Nigeria Plc was founded on September 4, 1944 as Nigeria's first pharmaceutical company.
It has its origin in England, the United Kingdom in 1834 where three chemists founded Grimwade, May & Pickett, a firm for manufacturing chemicals for pharmaceutical products.
May & Baker UK Limited later transformed into a mega European conglomerate through a web of mergers and acquisitions over years. Consequently the name of the company has changed at different times and today, only the Nigerian offshoot is known by the original name.
May & Baker Nigeria Limited became a publicly quoted company following its listing by introduction in the Nigeria Stock Exchange on November 10, 1994 and became May & Baker Nigeria Plc.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the development and implementation of quality product plans aimed at enhancing the company’s competitive market position and delivering profit and growth expectations from assigned market/therapeutic segments.
He / She must possess good analytical ability, strong oral and written communication abilities, good presentation skills, good planning, co-ordination and decision making skills.
Candidates must demonstrate a high level of competence in Product Management and possess strong people leadership skills and proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Qualification - B.Pharm/BSc in Biological Sciences, 3 years medical field sales / brand management experience with a reputable company, MBA will be an added advantage
Reporting to the Business Manager, the incumbent will be involved in the promotion of the company’s assigned products to medical and allied professionals in teaching, general and specialist practice through various levels of marketing interviews/medical meetings sufficient to achieve the agreed prescription and sales target.
Candidates must possess a B.Pharm or B.Sc in relevant Biological Sciences. Applicants must be result oriented, self-motivated with good oral and written communication skills and must possess strong persuasion and presentation skills with proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Reporting to the Business Sales Co-ordinator, the incumbent will be expected to coordinate, drive and provide leadership for the sales force to achieve the sales objective of the Team/Area.
Candidates must have hands-on field sales experience preferably in the pharmaceutical industry and be driven by a strong desire to achieve results. Applicants must possess a B.Pharm with at least four (4) years relevant experience with a proven track record and proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, the incumbent will be expected to promote, sell and redistribute the company’s products to distributors and retailers to achieve agreed sales targets.
Candidates must possess an HND/BSc in any discipline with at least two (2) years field sales experience. Experience in the FMCG industry and certification from a Sales and Marketing programme will be an added advantage. The incumbent must also possess excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills.
Candidate will be expected to continuously scan the business environment and identify business opportunities through information analysis of consumer trends and the marketplace. He/she will be expected to provide timely actionable information for effective decision making.
Candidates should possess a B.Sc in Social Sciences with a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience. Computer literacy is a pre-requisite.
The main purpose of the job is to work within the Production process teams to achieve output and efficiency targets. Incumbent is expected to demonstrate high level of competence in Pharmaceutical production and people leadership skills.
Applicants should possess a B.Pharm Degree with a minimum of 4 years Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience in a reputable Pharmaceutical Company. Candidates should not be more than 35 years old.
The incumbent will be expect to review and implement policies relating to health, safety & environment in the workplace while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies.
Candidates should possess a B.Sc in Social Sciences with a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience and applicable HSE certification. Computer literacy is a pre-requisite.
The incumbent will be involved in new products development and formulation.
Candidates should possess a B.Pharm or applicable Degree with a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
