Roles & Responsibilities
The role is responsible for driving the Institute’s research and advocacy activities with focus on reviews, analysis and production of high quality findings and recommendation on macro-economic issues, trends and development affecting the Nigerian economy.
Key Accountabilities:
•Conducts research on emerging and/or topical macro-economic issues to ascertain the relevance, implications and impact on the economy and fiscal policies of government
•Analyzes and provides perspectives on macro-economic issues that have impact on the Nigerian economy
•Initiates and facilitates thought leadership discourse on topical issues relating to the economy, financial regulation and fiscal policies of government
•Provides technical guidance in the translation of research findings and though leadership contributions into relevant curriculum/learning materials for the institutes’ faculties
•Articulates research findings on macro-economic issues and developments for publication
Requirements
•Seasoned Academic (Senior/Principal Lecturer /Associate professor) with Ph.D. in Accounting, Economics or Finance with strong research, report writing, communication and teaching skills and commitment to academic excellence
•Track record of producing high quality publications/research reports or public presentation at seminars at national/international levels
•Associate member of ICAN is an advantage

The role is responsible for providing technical guidance and support to enhance the capacity of members in each of the Five Faculties of the Institute comprising of Audit, Investigations and Forensic Accounting, Taxation and Fiscal Policy Management, Consultancy and Information Technology, Public Finance Management and Financial Reporting.
Key Accountabilities:
•Provides guidance on tasks application, methodology, approach, issue analysis and conclusion within area of technical expertise
•Identifies and develops technical resources and capabilities required to deliver strategic objectives defined by the Institute
•Anticipates industry trends and consults with faculty members and researchers in designing technical solutions that promotes best practices
•Conducts research in area of specialty to address issues affecting the national economy, global developments, regulatory developments etc.
Requirements
•First degree in relevant discipline
•Specialist knowledge in any of: Audit, Investigations and Forensic Accounting, Taxation and Fiscal Policy Management, Consultancy and Information Technology, Public Finance Management, and Financial Reporting
•Associate member of ICAN is an advantage
•Minimum of 7 years cognate experience
•Strong knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research with good understanding of the global economy and key development imperatives. Proven ability to engage key stakeholders in holding intellectual discussion on economic or regulatory developments
