    Senior Development Geologist/Geomodeller

    Senior Development Geologist/Geomodeler, Lagos E&P Company

    Spencer Ogden is currently working with a Mid-Sized E&P company based in Lagos to help them bring on board a new Senior Development Geologist to join their expanding team in the Lagos.
    The positions have come about due to recent company expansion and an increase in production.
    The successful applicants will play a key role in the further development of production operations in Nigeria.
    The successful applicant will require a track record of development geology as well as a firm grasp of geomodelling using Petrel and other industry leading software such as RMS.
    Beneficial experience will include exposure to similar projects within an E&P firm environment.

    Senior Production Geologist

    Location: Lagos - Nigeria
    Job Status: Permanent
    Salary: 30 million Naira

    Spencer Ogden are currently working closely with a leading Nigerian operating company to assist them in bringing on board a Production Geologist to join their rapidly expanding team in Lagos.
    Due to recent investment and rapidly growing global recognition, project demand has reached the stage where a Production Geologist is needed as a full time member of staff within the business who can grow and develop with the company.
    This is a new role and provides an exciting opportunity for someone with an appetite for exploring innovative techniques and continuously learning, and who is prepared to push the boundaries in pursuit of novel solutions.

    The successful applicant will have experience in:

    Excellent static geomodeling skills.
    Expert knowledge of Petrel software.
    At least 10 years industry experience.
    Educated to degree level.
    Experience in working within an exploration and production company.
    Be comfortable working within a team of 8 others.

    Exploration Director - E&P

    Spencer Ogden are working closely with a leading international Exploration and Production company based in Lagos, Nigeria.

    Due to recent growth within the company, the need for an Exploration Manager has arisen to assist in leading the exploration team into exciting new ventures. Working for the world's third largest operator, you will lead strategic acquisitions in Africa.

    Role

    The successful candidate will be tasked with the following activity and responsibilities:
    · The successful candidate will undertake a key role in leading the Subsurface Team based in Lagos
    · Accountability for subsurface resource management in support o a portfolio of projects to include major operated assets
    · Oversee and manage the day to day activity of a mid sized multi-disciplinary subsurface team
    · Ensure the timely delivery of appraisal, development and production phases
    · Undertake appraisal of new licences and 'farm-in' opportunities

    Person

    We are therefore keen to speak with and receive CV's from candidates with the following skills and experience:
    · Degree educated
    · A minimum of 12-15 years experience and recent management of a similar multi disciplinary team

    Chief Operating Officer- Exploration and Production

    Petroleum Engineering Manager

    Spencer Ogden is currently working in close partnership with a Major Operating Company in Nigeria at an exciting time in their growth and development.
    There is now a vacancy for a Petroleum Engineering Manager to take a leading role within the exploration and production division of one of Nigeria leading operators.

    The successful applicant will report directly to the CTO and will have overall control of both Reservoir Engineering and Production technology divisions, the lead engineers for both will be direct reports.

    The successful applicant must have:
    1st Degree or equivalent in - Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
    15+ years Experience
    Strong HSE and Management Experience
    Proven experience in developing large Oil and Gas fields

    Senior Reservoir Engineer

    Senior Reservoir Engineer- Exploration and Production Company- Lagos Nigeria

    Spencer Ogden is working in Partnership with a Major Oil and Gas Exploration and Development Company based in Lagos Nigeria to assist them in bringing on board a new Senior Reservoir Engineer to join the rapidly expanding subsurface team.

    The position will focus specifically on a number of newly acquired assets and will play an important role in the growth of the company.

    The successful applicant for the role must have an extensive track history of Reservoir Engineering Success, as well as:

    *The ability to use petroleum engineering principles to solve problems and identify enhancement opportunities
    *Strong background in reservoir engineering and pattern management Practices
    *Good overall practical oilfield operations knowledge
    *Expertise in working with geoscientists, and production and facilities engineers
    *Proficiency in using commonly used reservoir engineering, and EOR software and must have working knowledge of Production Management Software DSS
    *Planning and execution of technical programs in conjunction with drilling/well operations and geoscience teams
    *Experience of input/support to appraisal and new field development planning
    *Monitoring production and injection performance on existing fields to optimise production and maximise recovery
    *The ability to Construct reservoir simulation models to ensure proper management of reservoirs, including the design of well locations and preparing production profiles
    *Ability to Oversee the implementation of approved plans for appraisal and development
    *Ability to Formulate production policies
    *Ability to Construct reservoir surveillance plans, including the design and implementation of well tests, and managing data from surveys
    *Expertise in all areas of reserves reporting
    *Ability to Carry out Quality Assurance, Quality Control and peer assist initiatives

    Experience working with an operating company in Nigeria, primarily Shell, will be seen as an advantage to any application.
