Our client, who is a solid group of companies engaged in petroleum and allied products, is seeking to recruit in her various Nigeria locations:
Shall mainly create a secure, safe work environment and ensure that consignment are delivered to clients on time and wholesome.
Identify and assess security risks in site operations, develop and implement security measures to manage identified threats. Monitor and supervise contract security providers including their systems and competencies.
Provide a plan for coordinating and implementing long range and wide network consignment loading, transporting and delivery operations. Leads in the process to identify risks related to security of consignments from transit to point of delivery.
Formulate and implement initiatives to mitigate risks. Design and implement security programs to prevent, detect, or react to known or suspected threat, porous areas and/or criminal activity against the company.
Develop written procedures and posts orders describing the operation of all physical security systems.
Conduct investigations. Design and implement procedures to manage incidents of security nature including immediate response, overall incident management, post incident action investigation and reporting.
Endeavour to make all third parties aware of company security policy and comply with it.
Develop and maintain a security access control system at all vital facilities for employees, residents, vehicles identification requirements, product and consignments.
Stimulate the security awareness of the project members and organize specific training when necessary. Oversee the security operations' budgeting function and expenditure program. Incumbent is on 24-hours call for immediate response to security related emergencies accidents, fires, bomb threats, etc.
Minimum job requirements:
10 years experience in all aspects of security operations including working with integrated Health, safety, security and the environment operations - ideally gained from remote locations. Capacity to provide basic security training and implementing HSE strategies and plans. University degree in related field plus structured training: Good knowledge, understanding and judgment to effectively carry out the responsibilities involved as a member of senior management in a multi cultural, expatriate and radical environment. Military security experience in addition to industry experience preferred. Terminal and Port Facility Security experience desired. Ability to make power point presentations and brief Senior Management. Well versed in security and risk management. Demonstrable experience in conducting investigations, physical security and/or law enforcement function including access control and background investigations. Must be physically fit. Good communicator on all levels. Appreciation of the challenges of working in remote locations with little or no infrastructure.
Shall mainly assist in the execution of the company's legal department's activities relating to litigation, dispute resolution, review and documenting documents and to ensure the achievement of compliance with governance policies.
Advice the company in the best interest on matters of corporate compliance and governance, corporate and project finance, civil, criminal, contractual matters
Prepare draft legal documents, research and advice on all property and site activities including mergers, acquisitions, leases or rentals. Arrange for timely execution and renewal of all title and property documents.
Assist in the formulation and implementation of corporate policies and regulations across the companies within the group. Prepare management and board meetings minutes, resolutions and other deliverables required.
Represent the company in court. Monitor assigned cases and submit briefs to the company management. Monitor and review new legislation and advice on how it may affect the corporate governance of the company.
Maintain statutory books, including registers, directors and secretaries of all companies within the group. Deal with correspondence from regulators, registrars, advisers and, filing statutory returns, collating information and writing reports as needed.
Provide guidance regarding contractual agreements with suppliers, partners, and customers while ensuring that the company's rights and interests are safeguarded at all times.
Assist in drawing up the department's work plans and ensuring adherence. Assist in the
compilation/preparation of relevant statutory returns.
Minimum Job Requirements:
5 years of litigation experience or performance in a similar position. In-depth experience and knowledge of the Nigerian Legal, corporate and commercial law as it relates to petroleum and allied services. Deep understanding of legal procedures and functions. Excellent written and oral communication. High level of integrity and demonstrated ability to manage confidential information. High sense of responsibility, accountability and dependability. A good Law degree from a reputable university. Must have been called to Bar. High level of computer literacy. Detail oriented.
