GE Oil & Gas Internship Program

Role Summary/Purpose:    
An internship at GE enables you to interact with innovators in your field whilst being mentored by leaders who will develop your potential through hands-on experience that will equip you with the right skills in your chosen career field. The vast majority of our graduate hires into our leadership development programs were interns with us first.

Essential Responsibilities:    
This position will be based in Lagos and is open to currently enrolled students with interest in Engineering

- The intern will be responsible to ensure the smooth execution of contractual maintenance and site activities.
- Provide support for the Site team
- Interface with GE internal departments, to deliver contractual obligations and to facilitate outage activities coordination,
- Respond to Owner's technical inquiries coordinating technical resources, to assure problems identification and resolution
- Assist customer operation and maintenance staff in monitoring performances of covered units and recommend actions to improve safety, availability and reliability
- Identify elements requiring improvement and structure projects and actions to address the needs

Qualifications/Requirements:    
- University enrolled students who are currently pursuing their degrees in Engineering
- Project Management and Maintenance knowledge
- Strong analytic skills and attention to details
- Solid desk-based research skills and filtering of information to just the key points relevant to the internal audience
- Authorized to work in your country full-time and without restriction
- Must have an advanced to fluent level of English
- French (recommended)
