Our client, ULO Consultants, is a wholly owned Nigerian construction company with a proven track record of delivering large public sector projects to demanding clients. They provide a wide range of highly technical services from Project Design and Civil/Structural Engineering to Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
Some current projects include the International Airport in Asaba, Delta State; dualisation of Ughelli-Asaba Road, Delta State; New Government House Asaba, Delta State and the Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, Sokoto State.
To support their future growth plans they are seeking a passionate and highly motivated individual to join their expanding workforce in this of key position.
Reporting to an expatriate General Manager
You will have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience, which includes large-scale projects. Licensed as an architect in Nigeria you should be ready to travel extensively within Nigeria to visit project sites. You will be familiar with CAD software and capable of preparing project designs as well
as project plans. The ability to coordinate projects and motivate others around you will be essential as well as the enthusiasm to meet deadlines and work long hours.
Location: Abuja and Asaba
The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering and demonstrate 5 - 10 years relevant experience of large scale projects. The willingness to travel extensively across Nigeria to visit project sites is a pre-requisite for this exciting opportunity. You will have excellent grades in mathematics and science as well as strong It skills with the ability to quickly analyse large amounts of data and assess solutions. Working with different teams and other construction experts, excellent communication and team working skills are essential. You will also have a comprehensive knowledge of the relevant Nigerian legal regulations, be able to make decisions confidently and keep projects on time and budget.
Location - Abuja
You will have 5 - 10 years of direct work experience in a project management capacity with knowledge of both the theoritical and practical aspects of this important discipline. A certification in prject management techniques and tools will be an essential part of your skill set as well as proven experience in strategic planning, risk management and people and change management. You will also have a strong capital project and process background and be prepared to travel extensively across Nigeria, sometimes at short notice.
Location - Abuja
A thorough knowledge of finance and accounting, budgeting and cost control principles are essential for this vitally important role. You will be expected to work in a flexible schedule and have a solid understanding of auditing practices and principles including all applicable laws, codes, and regulations. Fully conversant in financial and accounting software applications, you will have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting with a minimum of three years working experience and have successfully completed the ICAN exams.
