    Marketing and Business Development Manager

    Job Description:

    •     Overal and direct responsibility for all company activities that lead to generation of enquiries and interests in our company products and services and conversion of these to sales
    •     Managing the Commercial Unit Objectives and Activities which include development, evaluation, review and execution of Marketing and Sales Strategies and Plans, customer relationship management and ensuring set quality objectives are achieved
    •     Negotiating and ensuring compliance with terms of contracts entered with clients
    •     Developing Commercial inputs for business projections and plans
    •     Evaluation and Coordination of new business development activities by Identifying new markets, devise and deliver promotional activities and marketing and oversee trade and promotional events
    •     Monitor the performance of each individual, teams and units within the Unit such as Marketing and Sales Units. (Marketing, Social Media, Sales, E-Commerce)
    •     Taking the lead on constructing robust and successful business proposals
    •     Expected to take lead responsibility for the identification, development and implementation of strategic partnerships
    •     Prepare reports for management at intervals as specified in our quality objective document
    •     To develop and maintain relationships with current and new customers while communicating the company’s product and service offerings
    •     To identify products that will satisfy customer needs in conjunction with the technical operations department and or with the client’s involvement
    •     To periodically analyse, evaluate and understand the dynamics of the industry and competition at intervals agreed with management
    •     To report to the management team and attend management meetings
    •     To develop and negotiate financial propositions with clients

    Education & Qualification

    •     Bachelor's Degree in Construction related field (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying etc)
    •     Masters of Business Administration preferable
    •     Minimum of 8 years’ Experience
    •     Project Management Certification desirable

    Experience

    •     8-12 years working experience more than half of which must be in commercial function
    •     Leading and Managing Marketing and Sales teams
    •     Demonstrable knowledge of the Nigerian Construction and Industrial Engineering Industries or similar sector
    •     Experience of working in a target driven environment
    •     Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques
    •     Knowledge of profit and loss and how to grow and monitor business sales and profit
    •     Knowledge of management techniques including Key Performance Indicators, recruitment, selection, development of people
    •     Knowledge and familiarity with marketing and sales relevant IT software applications
    •     Must Have Experience Of Having Drawn Up, Executed & Monitored Marketing And Sales Strategies & Plans
