    Travel Consultant

    Role Overview

    The Visa Assistant will support the day-to-day running of Sposh Travels and Tours. Working closely with the CEO on all visa and travel related enquiries. He/She is responsible for client satisfaction, ensuring that all clients are presented with the best information, assistance and advice on all travel related enquiries. The position requires year-round ongoing and efficient communication with clients and all stakeholders.

    Main Duties

    • Provides relevant visa and travel information to clients
    • Processes the simplest to the most complex visa cases correctly and efficiently with little or no need for guidance.
    • Keeps informed of laws, regulations and SOPs related to visa cases, and country entry processes
    • Either alone or as a team member, can take complete action on all classes of visa and travel requests, advising clients of the best option
    • Can undertake visa and travel application requests and processes, data entry, visa classification, scanning of documents, photo capture, fingerprint capture, tracking and issuance, quality assurance and printing
    • Exercises discretion and high degree of professional responsibility in handling confidential/sensitive applicant information and documentation.
    • Responds promptly and accurately in fluent English to a full range of complex customer inquiries and complaints in a courteous manner.
    • Sends emails and contacts clients to coordinate passport pickup or delivery.
    • Research and provide information to clients on flight and travel options
    • Either as a team or alone, arranges for concierge services for clients
    • Serves as back-up when needed to the Admin/Secretary on payment processing and validations
    • Generate business leads and close-out on visa and travel orders and enquiries

    Role Requirements

    • Minimum of an OND degree
    • Strong administration and analytical skills
    • Experience working in a team/individual structured organization.
    • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a changing environment with a high degree of accuracy
    • Ability to recognize potential issues as they arise and escalate appropriately
    • Excellent organization skills, time management
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, relationship skills, with the ability to communicate well with colleagues, senior management and other stakeholders
    • Customer focused, both internal and external with the ability to build effective working relationships
    • Multicultural sensitivity is essential including the ability to work effectively as part of a team
    • Exceptional communication skills in person, over email, telephone etc.
    • Innovative and creative thinker with a track record of delivery and proven ability to manage several projects concurrently and see them through from conception to conclusion
    • Must be proactive and solution oriented, looking for ways to add value and assist the team
    • Intuitive and not afraid to challenge
    • Knowledge/experience of the travel and aviation industry will be an added advantage
    • Self-motivated and able to use own initiative
    • Can-do attitude
    • Creative problem solver
    • Superb diary management
    • Strong PC skills and high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills
    • Friendly and professional demeanor
