    Senior Portfolio Manager - Investment Management

    Job Purpose

    • To manage allocated portfolios (Mutual Funds, Institutional portfolios and private clients) in line with the agreed benchmark, risk preference, and generates appropriate risk premium.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Manage Equity and fixed income portfolios, focusing on offshore assets, with the mandate of delivering competitive returns that outperform relevant benchmarks and industry peers
    • Working with the head of Investment Management to develop an appropriate investment strategy.
    • Collaborating with the head of investment and other team members to develop investible products that will increase asset under management
    • Providing support for the relationship managers in their sales and relationship management efforts
    • Providing unparallel service to internal and external Clients
    • Ensuring periodic portfolio reports are prepared timely and meet the set standard
    • Presenting regular reports to Institutional Client
    • Monitor and manage portfolio risk
    • Supervise work of junior colleagues
    • Keep abreast of key industry developments including regulatory charges

    Objectives & Key Results:

    • Portfolio returns outperforming relevant benchmarks and industry peers
    • Portfolio is invested in line with internal policies and agreed on SLAs
    • Keeping portfolio risk within acceptable risk limits
    • Coordinating direct reports and ensuring that clients’ instructions are treated within the agreed TAT.
    • Positive feedback from internal and external clients

    Educational Requirements

    • First Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or Engineering
    • Minimum of ten years’ experience in equity, fixed income and macroeconomic research. Past securities selection and portfolio management experience required.

    Internal Audit Officer

    Job Summary

    • Responsible for supporting the Internal Audit function in the delivery of the Group's internal audit strategy and plan and ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
    • Fostering a conscious control environment within the company by providing timely and reliable assurance on corporate governance, risk and controls.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist in the development of the annual Internal Audit plan.
    • Implement the IA methodology for the business.
    • Contribute to the safeguarding of corporate assets by ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place and operating effectively.
    • Evaluate the adequacy of process design and the effectiveness of controls in meeting business and control objectives
    • Perform audit tests and prepare working papers in accordance with professional IIA standards and IA methodology.
    • Identify and document control and process weaknesses and provide evidential support for findings.
    • Propose practical and value-added recommendations to address control weaknesses and/or process inefficiencies.
    • Organize and reference work papers for review by Supervisor.
    • Participate in closing meetings with client at the end of fieldwork, providing clear explanations for identified issues.
    • Perform consulting services for management through participation in projects designed to introduce new and/or changing processes, products or facilities.
    • Conduct investigations as instructed and ensure detailed evidence/documentation is retained for all findings related to the investigation
    • Develop and maintain effective and professional working relationships with all levels of staff within the organization, including Senior Management and Audit Committee of the Board
    • Prepare and disseminate material for the quarterly Audit Committee meetings
    • Conduct periodic spot checks in line with agreed spot check plan or as instructed by Supervisor/Senior Management.
    • Follow up on the progress of implementation of recommendations from audit and investigations to senior management.
    • Organize relevant training and awareness sessions for members of the assurance units.
    • Drive implementation of the Unit’s strategic initiatives and other ad-hoc assignments that may be required by Supervisor/Senior Management.

    Requirements
    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3 relevant years of work experience in auditing (systems audit experience will be an added advantage)
    • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, IT or related discipline
    • A recognized professional designation in Accounting or Internal Auditing (ACA, ACCA, CMA, CGA, CIA etc)
    • IT Audit or Information Security Certification is required (CISA, CRISC, CISSP etc)
    • Proficient in the use of data analytics tools (e.g SQL, Power BI etc)
    • Solid understanding of risk and control concepts and the ability to apply these concepts.
    • Working knowledge of professional IIA performance standards with regarding to planning, testing, sampling and documentation.

    Competency and Skill Requirements:

    • Good interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with all levels within the organization.
    • Capable of working independently and with minimum supervision.
    • Depth of knowledge in auditing standards, procedures and related techniques.
    • Strong working knowledge of information technology and its implications on business operations
    • Logical approach to identifying and evaluating issues and problem solving.

    Team Member, Fund Administration

    Job Objective(s)

    • Responsible for supporting the organization’s operations by evaluating and assuring its business procedures, processes and guaranteeing that operations framework and control systems are effective in minimizing operational inefficiencies, errors and losses

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage Relations with stakeholders: Manage the interface with internal stakeholders (such as Fund Accounts, Treasury and ARM Registrars, operations settlement, operations control, IM Group IAML and Business Development) and counter parties such as CSCS, Registrars, Custodians etc in carrying out of clients’ transactions.
    • Adequate Monitoring of Corporate Action Events. To ensure timely and accurate capture of corporate action announcements and events in the financial market on client portfolios and communicate the corporate actions to other stakeholders.
    • Stock Reconciliation: To oversee the team working on stock reconciliation and apply your experience and skills in the reconciliation and resolution of variances noted.
    • Strategic Initiatives: To provide strategic ideas and initiatives to improve the processes within the team.
    • Treatment Of Bank Reconciliation Exceptions: To investigate bank reconciliation exceptions noted and resolve these items in a timely manner.
    • Custodian Reconciliation: To co-ordinate custodian reconciliation of all portfolios, ensuring that reconciliations are done and sent out on or before Wednesday each week. Custodian reconciliation of SEC and Trustees must be due for submission within 24 hours of receipt from the sending unit.
    • Regulatory Returns: To ensure that all Returns to SEC and other Regulatory bodies are prepared and made available as and when due. You are to work closely with the Unit head on this task.
    • Dividend Reinvestment: To ensure timely and complete processing of dividend reinvestment for all Mutual Funds and attend to issues emanating from them.
    • Daily Call Over: Ensure detailed and daily call over of all transactions are carried out.
    • Carry out all functions that may be assigned to you from time to time.

    Requirements
    Education:

    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
    • Professional certification in from a recognized professional body (e.g. ACCA, ICAN, CIS e.t.c)

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of work experience.
