Senior Frontend Developer (React) at Good Talent Africa

Our client is an indigenous software development company that provides feasible and reliable solutions to the stakeholders of the education sector aiming to transform education using technology. They currently have an opening for a Senior Frontend Developer (React) in Abuja.

The ideal candidate must be passionate about solving problems and derive satisfaction upon successful completion of projects. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership during the analysis, design and implementation phases of a project. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of current systems, help define requirements for new initiatives, work with business stakeholders, and manage backlog and development queue.

Job responsibilities

• Develop new user-facing features using React.js
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Work closely with full stack and back-end developers to ensure the site adheres to company best practices
• Partake in code-reviews
• Re-factor existing functionality as we constantly strive to improve our codebase

Requirements

• BootStrap, JavaScript and React JS.
• 5+ years of Total experience is required
• Developing new user-facing features using React.js
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git
