Job Overview

• Lead the Data Engineering & BI team,and drive all initiatives/projects in that space.
• Delivers analytic insights in several business domains including Retail, Risk, Finance, Operations.
• Work on other tasks as assigned by the Chief Data Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Manage activities of the Data Engineering & BI teams. Identify opportunities, set priorities, and establish goals to enable insight into our business. Use data to deliver solutions that drive strategic and operational decisions that help optimize customer success and financial performance.
• ·Develop and define Key Performance Indicators, and drive the delivery of these KPIs from ingestion of source data, to creation of analytics data sources, to dashboards/reports consumed by end users.
• Grow the Data Engineering & BI teams via technical leadership, mentoring, training, and career development.
• ·Partner with other DMO teams to develop industry leading Data & Analytics use cases and solutions.
• Own, design and implement modern and performant Data & Analytics architectures
• Partner with other DMO teams to design and roll out an enterprise wide data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organization behaviour policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture
• Work with DMO Business Analysts to capture business requirements, prioritize and drive their delivery/implementation
• Partner with other DMO teams to develop & maintain inventory of the enterprise information maps, including authoritative systems, owners, and make sure the enterprise Data Catalogue is fully maintained.
• Drive the development and implementation of strong data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise
• ·In conjunction with the DMO, provide progress reports to Board management and oversee periodic updates to the Data & Analytics Roadmap
• Coordinate external data sources to eliminate data siloes, redundancies and streamline the expense related to those services
• Identify new opportunities pertaining to the use of information assets to achieve efficiency, effectiveness and leadership in the company / represent data as a strategic business asset at the Senior Management level.
• Develop and deliver trainings and coaching for increasing Data & Analytics technologies’ know-how, Data Citizenship within all segments of the Bank

Skills/Competencies

• Ability to work independently and excellent teamwork spirit

• 10+ years Hands-on experiences with databases (Oracle, SQL-Server) and BI/Machine Learning/AI technologies (Microsoft Power BI, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS), Big Data technologies (Spark, Kafka), Python, Cloud technologies, and Data Quality and Governance solutions

Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory

• Master's Degree in appropriate field of study with at least 10 years of equivalent work experience in the Data & Analytics fields, ideally in the Retail Banking sector.
• Minimum 5 years of Team management experience
• Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational
• Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
