    Programs and Fund Raising Manager

    Principal Responsibilities

    • Project management of donor funded projects
    • Undertake proper and realistic planning of project activities with little or no supervision
    • Provide management, guidance, and technical oversight on projects of the organization from start-up, implementation and close-out in line with quality principles and standards, donor guidelines, and industry best practices.
    • Deeper knowledge and understanding of the non-profit sector
    • Conduct research on fundraising opportunities.
    • Maintain and update database of donors nationally and internationally

    Position Requirements / Qualifications

    • A University Degree or Higher National Diploma in Social Sciences / International Relations / International Development / Public Relations or other relevant topic (Master’s degree will be added advantage).
    • 1-2 years’ professional experience, with at least 1 year professional experience in a similar position
    • Clear understanding of global, national development issues context and operations.
    • Vast experience in team management and leadership

    Skills & Experience - Essential:

    • Prior experience in NGOs
    • Previous experience in Project Management
    • Prior experience in proposal writing and NGOs funding mobilization and strategies
    • Knowledge of community mobilization and participatory approaches
    • Professionalism
    • Exceptional organization, time management and attention to details
    • Good writing skills
    • Able to work in an autonomous way and deliver within deadline
    • Fluent in English (any foreign or national language is an advantage).
    • Strong computer skills (word, Excel, Power point etc)
    • Available/ ready to travel in remote areas across Abuja and Nigeria if need be.
    • Excellent knowledge of HipCity’s thematic areas of work
    • Excellent communicator and negotiator with diplomacy skills.
    • Commitment to and understanding of HipCity core values
    • Team player, flexible, patient.
    • Proven gender awareness and sensitivity.
    • Experience of a wide range of fundraising channels and a proven success record of raising funds for a business or non-profit
    • Good knowledge of the principles of fundraising from private sector, Philanthropic individuals and foundations, donor grant, embassies and experience in soliciting funds from these sources.
    • Proven track record of ideating and preparation of ideas into fundable proposals following established guidelines
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
    • Impeccable organizational and project management skills with the knack to prioritize and multitask
    • Possess admirable diplomacy skills.
    • Social media and tech savvy and adept with tools for non-profit
