Job Roles

• Monitoring and evaluating production in line with monthly, weekly and daily production plan and ensuring that monthly targets are met.
• Keeping records of production activities and reporting to line manager
• Ensuring proper utilization of all allocated equipment.
• Managing production activities and reporting challenges to Management.
• Ensuring that operations comply with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Training and supervising staff
• Ensuring proper management of valuable minerals/materials during overburden removal.
• Laisse with Head of Mining and Operations for production planning and execution.
• Liaising with and advising managerial and technical staff (geologists, engineers and workshop for hitch free operations.
• Ascertaining production risks and hazards and recommend controls and management plans.
• Using specialist computer applications to maximize planning and production
• Analyzing production reports
• Making sure that equipment are utilized in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements

• HND / B.Sc. (Mining Engineering) Minimum 3 Years’ Experience
• Good communication and leadership skill
• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office
• A good Team Player
• Ability to work with little or no Supervision

Job Responsibilities

• Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner.
• Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and others).
• Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
• Assess potential risks, materials and costs.
• Develop and supervise the implementation of Job Hazard Analysis for all construction projects.
• Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies.
• Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
• Monitor progress and compile reports in project status.
• Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials.
• Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc, and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
• Lead team members to supervise construction projects.
• Develop business ideas and opportunities, assess and recommend risk management strategies.
• And other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Management

Requirements

• HND / Degree in Civil Engineering with 3-6 years working experience as a Civil Engineer.
