    Lead, Agent Network

    Job Title: Lead, Agent Network (Lekki, Lagos)

    A leading financial services company seeks to hire an ambitious and business savvy individual for the role of Lead, Agent Network.

    The successful applicant will be responsible for the following channels of acquisition: Direct Sales, Partners, Digital & Telesales channels. The applicant will also be primarily responsible for delivering on the revenue target, growth target, profit target and/or a market share goal.

    Job Description

    • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals
    • Manage the sales teams, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth
    • Manage the use of budgets and define optimal sales force structure
    • Agent acquisition and management: Work independently to on-board and facilitate registration of agents across the 36 states of Nigeria
    • Ensure training & daily support of onboarded agents.
    • Improve Agent satisfaction by anticipating consumer needs
    • Organize and maintain sales operations
    • Coordinate/track Monthly Performance in the various regions.
    • Meet the expected revenue and agent target.
    • Monitor the business dashboard and prepare reports for management.
    • Stay on top of all trends in the financial service/payment system in Nigeria sector and across the globe.
    • Responsible for ensuring that resources are properly aligned to maximize results
    • Hire and develop sales staff
    • Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales, spread and revenue objectives
    • Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
    • Define and document sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
    • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
    • Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function
    • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
    • Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful support
    • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
    • Constantly evaluate the success of the sales team. Has it achieved the overall success that was budgeted for, planned for, and aimed to accomplish? If not, why not? If not, how do we get the organization back on track?

    Requirements Qualification & Experience

    • A Bachelor's degree in Business or any related discipline from an accredited university. An advanced degree in Finance MBA or M.Sc. (will be an advantage). Minimum of Four years post-professional qualification experience with at least 3 years in a management role in a reputable and structured organisation in e-payment or banking industry/ sales/agency banking/ other financial services.
    • Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership
    • Successful experience building a go-to-market strategy and corporate sales plan
    • Experience/knowledge setting up and managing a sales team across the 36 states in Nigeria.
    • Successful experience building and growing a sales channel and distribution network
    • Proven track record in monitoring and evaluating sales rep progress against stated expectations, in addition to aligning and changing behaviour with performance expectations
    • Successful experience managing a team of 50 + salespeople
    • Ability to drive an effective telesales team
    • Experience managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities
    • Successful experience utilizing a CRM to manage team sales tasks, pipeline, and closing data
    • Successful experience hiring and onboarding sales representatives
    • Successful experience building and managing a territory (include geography if necessary)
    • Proven experience working within a medium company environment
    • Experience providing status reports with market and customer feedback to the corporate leadership team
    • Acute knowledge of finance, business development & sales
    • Strong leadership and people management skills
    • Excellent writing and reporting skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills
