    Sales Specialist (SME-SOHO)

    Responsibilities

    • Manage sales agencies and ensure sales targets are met.
    • Be the focal point on conversations with prospective estates.
    • Ensure the swift onboarding and conversion of prospects within estates.
    • Supervise the activities of activities to ensure they conform with the company’s code of conduct.
    • Prospect new customers using multiple sales channels
    • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers
    • Visiting potential customers for new business
    • Onboarding prospects on CRM platform.
    • Providing customers with quotations
    • Understand other MainOne products and pitch to prospects and customers when the need arises.

    Cloud Support Officer

    Department: Technical

    Responsibilities

    • Work with the Cloud Implementation, Cloud operations and Cloud Solutions teams to deliver customer projects.
    • Respond to implementation requests with Work breakdown schedules (WBS) or implementation plan
    • Implement on-Premise (Microsoft Private cloud with Windows Azure pack and Azure Stack), cloud (AWS, Azure) and hybrid solutions.
    • Implement BCDR solutions
    • Implement Windows server solutions
    • Prepare Documentations and reports for implemented projects
    • Provide support to the Operations team on escalations
    • Comply with support processes and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and service level objectives (SLO) are met.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Management or related Engineering field is preferred
    • Minimum years of Experience: 3
    • Experience with Microsoft public, hybrid and private cloud
    • Technical Expertise in cloud service delivery models including infrastructure as a service, platform as a service and software-as-a-service; automation; hypervisors; containers; virtual compute, storage, and networks; virtual infrastructure management; self-provisioning; and scaling.
    • Experience working with Windows/Linux operating systems
    • Strong Cloud experience skills (AWS or Azure)
    • Powershell scripting experience will be an added advantage
    • Networking experience will be an added advantage.
    • Certifications in Linux, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Microsoft System Centre, VMware, Storage, and other Cloud Technologies considered a plus for this position.

    Manager, Capital Projects

    Responsibilities

    • Provide project management leadership and promote best practice in Project Management, ensuring assigned projects are delivered to agreed specifications, timelines and approved budget
    • Design Data Centre infrastructure components in line with applicable international standards and ensuring detailed and accurate specification of components
    • Manage implementation of Data Centre projects or any other assigned Projects ensuring projects are delivered effectively and most efficiently.
    • Analyze potential project risks as well as barriers and define appropriate mitigating plans to enable timely resolution or outright avoidance.
    • Develop Work Breakdown Structure and detailed project management documentations, including milestones and responsibilities share on all assigned projects.
    • Develop processes and work standards required for the implementation of projects, and monitor compliance to ensure the set objectives are met.
    • Responsible for compliance with all Capital Projects departmental processes, keeping custody of all departmental process documents.
    • Guide the Technical team’s capital expenditure for the company in line with the strategic plan and report on the CAPEX spend on Capital projects, ensuring consideration of financial and technical tradeoffs as well as compliance with all fiscal and regulatory parameters.
    • Perform strategic planning and financial analysis, including budget preparation and obtaining necessary approvals for all assigned capital projects.
    • Monitor the budget for capital projects; oversee their financial effectiveness by exercising cost control measures, motivating for budget enhancements when required.
    • Monitor and administer the relevant contracts and agreements for each project.
    • Measure the delivery of the technical key performance indicators (KPIs) especially as it relates to the capital projects.
    • Prepare reports and make presentations on all assigned projects as may be required from time to time.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • First Degree in Electrical & Electronics or related Engineering discipline. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
    • A minimum of 8 years work experience, Five (5) of which must have been in leading and directing Telecoms or allied infrastructure projects.
    • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate is also a requirement for this position.
    • Must be numerate with excellent Project Management skills and competency in desktop research.
    • Excellent engineering design skills, good knowledge of Data Centre infrastructure design principles are key requirements for this role.
    • Other skills such as planning and organization, budgeting, policy design and development, process improvement, negotiation, presentation and strategic planning are also required for this role.

    • Overall successful outcome of all assigned capital projects, ensuring projects meet the agreed quality standards and are delivered on time, within budget and allocated resources.
    • The Manager, Capital Projects will manage vendors and partners involved in projects, ensuring all projects are executed in line with MainOne business objectives and strategic plan.
    • The Manager, Capital Projects will also be required to liaise and interface with other groups/departments typically involved in the technical management of the core network including Technical Procurement.

    Cloud Operations Manager

    Responsibilities

    • The Cloud Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Cloud Services function, and effectively communicating with all stakeholders on pertinent matters including - but not limited to - software deployment, upgrades, system setup, system administration, monitoring, incident resolution, problem management, configuration, change management, service desk, security management and monitoring, capacity planning, availability management, disaster recovery and routine update of services
    • He / she will also assist with developing processes to manage operations, technical standards and architecture development
    • The Cloud Operations Manager is also expected to ensure best practice maintenance and support of the Cloud platforms, processes and customer services.

    The specific responsibilities shall include to:

    • Work with the Cloud Solutions and planning teams to guarantee stability, availability and the efficiency of our cloud environment
    • Making sure that customer SLAs are met, periodical customer reports and updates are sent
    • Play an active role in improving the interface between the business and technology
    • Ensure 24 X 7 operations of Cloud Services, Disaster Recovery, Scanning and Archiving, Data Repository, and Remote Operations Services
    • Provide pre-sales product support to Solutions Architects in the development of customer proposals, tailored solutions, bids and major tenders
    • Develop and maintain a high-level strategy for the current and future growth of the organization’s product lines
    • Maintain accurate and detailed asset inventory records
    • Develop and oversee Network Operations, Service Desk, Event Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management and Change Management processes for all Cloud Services
    • Ensure successful backup and/or replication of Customer Data in a secure manner. Contribute and enhance Security policies and procedures for Cloud Services. Implement System Management Tools to provide monitoring and management of all Cloud infrastructures
    • Define and report key performance indicators to monitor process health; define and report customer facing service metrics
    • Analyze and track periodically the external product positioning and competitiveness of product(s) against competitor’s products within the target market space
    • Product project management
    • Facilitate decision point meetings
    • Conduct Research and development (R&D) activities that comprise of creative work undertaken on a systematic basis in order to increase knowledge of technologies and services
    • Advise on new product development and product marketing
    • Liaise with the marketing team to revise marketing collateral such as brochures, website, product descriptions, new press releases and assist in coordinating public marketing campaigns
    • Implement and oversee Security policy, monitoring, and guidelines for Cloud Services
    • Conduct System Outage Analysis to prevent reoccurrences
    • Identify, negotiate and coordinate team resources across various departments within the organization and when required to make product(s) amendments, support growth and meet customer demands
    • Directly manage assigned team.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Management or related engineering field is preferred
    • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in large complex information systems and cloud services with at least two (2) years in a supervisory
    • At least five (5) years managerial experience of IT Service management, data center, server, and storage management, virtualization, networking, systems management, and project management is preferred
    • Experience with Microsoft public, hybrid and private cloud is a must have.
    • Must have strong Windows / Linux / Unix skills
    • Certifications in Linux, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Microsoft System Centre, VMware, Storage, and other Cloud Technologies are an added advantage.
