    Director, Christopher Kolade Centre for Research in Leadership and Ethics

    Purpose of Position

    • The Centre’s objectives are to carry out research in the area of leadership and ethics and to develop faculty, researchers, and organizational networks and collaborations that will enhance research on leadership and ethics as well as disseminate information regarding this within and outside LBS.
    • In this way, the Centre will contribute to the fulfillment of the School’s mission and promote the positive advancement of corporate thoughts and practices in ethics and leadership.

    Essential Key Responsibilities
    Essential Key Responsibilities include both not limited to the following:

    • Carry out research in the areas of leadership and ethics; plan, coordinate and execute assigned research projects.
    • Support and coordinate faculty’s research and consulting in leadership and ethics individually and in teams.
    • Promote research collaboration among the School’s faculty in the areas of leadership and ethics.
    • Develop networks, alliances, and working groups internally and externally to drive research in leadership and ethics (including applications for research grants and projects that align with the Centre’s objectives).
    • Develop and manage projects, grants, collaborations, partnerships/affiliations and donations
    • Supervise and coordinate the Centre’s staff (permanent, ad hoc, volunteer, and interning research assistants or fellows, etc.)
    • Identify areas of improvements and develop new methodologies to meet objectives.
    • Lead the development and implementation of effective and innovative capacity development approaches, tools, and methodologies for research and project activities.
    • Drive research and professional publications in a variety of formats, and maintain an online presence (website, social media, etc.) for the Centre and the faculty affiliated to it.
    • Maintain and extend the Centre’s database (research-related, contacts, etc.) and keep all records.
    • Handle all matters relating to administration and day to day management of the Centre.
    • Develop the Centre’s work plan and budget, facilitate its implementation as well as organise/oversee its activities and programmes and manage its budget.
    • Provide regular information/reports regarding the Centre’s work to all stakeholders.
    • Absorb and transfer learning to others in or attached to the Centre.
    • Carry out all other responsibilities as assigned by the Dean.

    Associate, Marketing Partnerships & Grants

    Purpose of Position

    • A marketing partnership and grant associate is to oversee the brand visibility of the Centre.
    • He/she is meant to develop the implementation of marketing strategies, initiate and manage grants as well as other fund-raising activities.
    • There needs to be a passion for leadership and/or ethics and a desire to see the Centre attain a pivotal role in responsible leadership. A CKCRLE marketing associate will lead the Centre’s.
    • This role is a pioneer role, and a lot of creativity, leadership of self and others is required. The associate is to make contributions which: support the practice of responsible leadership, contribute to the advancement of leadership and ethics in theory and practice by securing grants/financial support through online and in person engagements of grantors, c-suite executives, senior managers and professionals in the public, private and social sectors and support LBS research community to create high-quality teaching materials and research outputs.
    • The centre should be known in Africa for its impact on responsible leadership. Therefore, the ideal candidate should have some understanding and passion for leadership and ethics, research in this field, programme design, content creation & brand visibility. He/She should also understand the role the Centre plays in the larger Lagos Business School mission, focus, and values.

    Essential Key Responsibilities
    Include but are not limited to:

    • Define and manage the Centre’s brand
    • Conduct campaign management for marketing initiatives
    • Produce marketing and campaign materials
    • Create content for the website and social media outlets
    • Monitor and manage social media
    • Produce internal and external communication
    • Source for and manage grants and sponsorships
    • Lead the centre’s brand development and management (Centre’s programmes publicity and related activties)
    • Identify and explore local and international trends and opportunities in leadership for the centre and LBS as a whole
    • Develop and manage work plans and communication plans of the Centre’s marketing activities
    • Manage Centre conferences and stakeholder forums planning, financial management and reporting Centre programmes.

    Requirements
    Education:

    • Minimum of a Degree in Humanities or Social Sciences
    • Postgraduate training and membership of a related professional body is an added advantage.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of Two (2) years of working experience preferably in a think-tank, research institute, or consulting/advisory firm.
    • Experience in digital marketing, content creation /design, business development and project management.

    Associate, Programme Design and Management

    Purpose of Position

    • A programme design and management associate to oversee the implementation of the centre’s programmes.
    • He/She should be passionate about leadership and /or ethics and develop sponsored/paying programmes to push the centre to the fore in the space of responsible leadership.
    • A CKCRLE Associate will lead the centre’s project from inception to conclusion with the objective of influencing the knowledge and practice of leadership and ethics in Africa and beyond. This role is a pioneer role, and a lot of creativity, leadership of self and others is required. The associate is to make intellectual contributions which: (i) support the practice of responsible leadership; (ii) contribute to the advancement of leadership and ethics in theory and practice by engaging c-suite executives, senior managers and professionals in the public, private and social sectors, and (iii) support LBS research community to create high-quality teaching materials and research outputs.
    • The centre should be known in Africa for its impact on responsible leadership.     • Prepare Reports and support external communication on LBS’ sustainability and responsible management achievements and initiatives (keynote speech, conference presentations)
    • Attend meetings with and manage relationships with LBS stakeholders and member organisations
    • Develop proposals, concept notes and make grant and project recommendations to decision-makers
    • Lead the centre’s programme development, delivery, and management (curriculum design. data collection, facilitator engagement, speakers’ engagement, writing, coordination, and reviews etc.)
    • Identify and explore local and international trends and opportunities in leadership for the centre and LBS as a whole
    • Design, develop and manage blended programmes
    • Develop and manage work plans and communication plans of the centre’s programmes
    • Manage centre conferences and stakeholder forums planning, financial management and reporting centre programmes
